Luxury Botswana, Zimbabwe & Zambia Anniversary Trip Review: Victoria Falls, Game Drives, Rhino Walk, 12-Day Tour
I wish I could give this trip and our travel agency a hundred stars. Both the trip and the service that our travel company provided were over the top! We visited a Camp and Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, did a Rhino walk in Zambia and also stayed at a Lodge by the Chobe River in Botswana. I cannot say enough good things about Natalie, from our travel agency.  We started planning this trip in Feb 2020 with what was supposed to be our big 10th anniversary trip. Then Covid struck the very next month and we were forced to postpone the trip not once, but twice. Over the course of the next two years Natalie was on top of EVERYTHING. She worked with the places that we had booked and the airlines within Africa and was able to change our travel arrangements to accommodate the ever changing situation.  To start this whole process, we provided Natalie with some general guidelines on what we thought we wanted to do and our budget and she took charge of putting together our dream vacation. She put together several possible itineraries and we fine tuned our trip from there. Natalie is based in South Africa, while we are located in the USA. This distance was never a problem in any of our planning and I never felt uncomfortable with the fact that she was in a completely different country (and continent). In fact, Natalie scheduled a phone call with us early in our planning so that we could get to know her and she could better understand our expectations. Natalie was always very responsive and I could always count on seeing a response to my emails either same day or first thing the next morning if I sent something late in her day. Her level of service was always top-notch!Natalie was incredibly thorough in researching things like Visas, travel vaccinations, passport requirements, Covid requirements, etc. so that we knew what needed to be done to prepare for this trip as well as what to expect once we got there. The icing on the cake was when we got to our room at our final destination (Chobe) to find a bottle of champagne and a very special note from Natalie to me and my wife thanking us for booking our trip with her and recognizing our 12th anniversary! :-)  I still get chill bumps thinking about how touching that was and what it meant to us.

South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe Luxury Travel Review: Safari, Big Five, 11 Days

This was a phenomenal experience, perhaps my best yet facilitated by Zicasso, and the fulfillment of a childhood dream.

From start to finish, our agent was a superb planner and communicator. She was easy to talk to via email and over the phone, and expertly asked all the right questions to tease out the details she needed to craft the perfect trip for me. She was equally adept at answering all of the questions I had, which helped me to make informed decisions throughout the process.

Despite booking my safari less than a year in advance (when the standard practice is usually two years out) and on a budget that was no doubt way less than what luxury travelers splurge, our agent was able to arrange the perfect combination of accommodations and tours that provided me with a luxurious, comfortable, enjoyable, and memorable experience. She was even able to amend my confirmed plans a bit late in the game after what was originally a solo trip became a trip for two when my mom, awe-struck by the awesome itinerary, implored me to let her join.

This was our first safari and first venture into southern Africa. While our agent and all our guides along the way tempered our expectations about what we'd be able to see once out in the wilderness, luck was on our side. We ended up seeing just about everything. We spotted four of the Big Five on our three days in the reserve in the Kruger Park (elephant, buffalo, leopard, rhino). The lions eluded us there, but we got more than our fill of them in the Okavango Delta. In addition to those, we had the pleasure of spotting wild dog and hyena packs with cubs in their dens, zebra, giraffe, hippos galore, crocodiles, baboons, monkeys, impalas to no end, kudu, an owl, ostriches, fish eagles, and a ton of other pretty birds. There was never a boring day. Despite our good fortune, I'm happy our agent was realistic and cautious in setting expectations.

One reason for this trip was to celebrate my mom's 75th birthday. Our agent went above and beyond in that regard, surprising us with a decorative towel arrangement in our first hotel, a bottle of wine in our first game camp, and another bottle of wine and a cake at our third hotel. That was a nice and unexpected touch, and much appreciated.

All of our accommodations were top-notch. The hotel in South Africa was in an excellent location, with modern facilities, friendly staff, and a superb kitchen. The private camp in the Kruger Park was a nice first introduction to the wilderness as it was basically a hotel in the middle of nowhere, complete with luxurious facilities and super-friendly and helpful staff. The lodge in Elandskop was wonderful and I regret that we didn't have more free time to enjoy it. The staff were very friendly, the restaurant very elegant, and the rooms very comfortable. The camp in Botswana was as close to camping as we'll ever come (glamping), but similarly offered wonderfully welcoming service, comfortable facilities, and a memorable experience. Finally, the Cape Town hotel offered a great location, friendly service, and wonderful food. Overall, the travel advisor did well with the choice of accommodations.

Similarly, our travel agent partnered with a great selection of local tour operators to ensure our every transfer and tour went smoothly and comfortably. I'd happily work with her again on future trips to the region and would highly recommend her services to all.

Travel Review: Luxury South Africa, Zambia, & Zimbabwe Africa Safari, Cape Town, Victoria Falls, Panorama Route, 12-Day Trip
My travel specialist from the travel company was fantastic.  I have been very hesitant to use a travel agent since I feel that the world of travel is at my fingertips through the internet.  However, when it came to traveling to Africa, I simply did not know where to start.  My travel specialist listened to me and gave 2 options that we then refined over time.  She was always incredibly responsive even with our time differences (I waited a bit late to start the process, so timeliness was really important!)  I felt like she was personally invested in making sure we had a tremendous experience - and we did.  The small welcome notes and personal gifts in the hotels were an extra special touch! The Safari at Kambaku River Sands was exceptional. We are vegan/vegetarian, and I was so impressed with every single meal we ate... absolutely fantastic foods.  The guides were knowledgeable and we saw the big 5 in our short stay there. The rooms are beautiful and I have never felt such peace. From Kambaku, we drove around the Panorama Route which was an introduction to what felt like a very different part of South Africa.  Then my travel specialist had us on a flight to Victoria Falls which was also an amazing adventure.... I highly recommend the stay at the hotel in Victoria Falls.  The falls are walking distance, the evening cultural dancing was very entertaining and the full on English High Tea was a great experience.  Wrapping up in Cape Town with all of the sites to see there was perfect.

Zicasso’s tour operator put together a great trip for us! We enjoyed everything, from tours of Cape Town to safari experiences in South Africa and Botswana, and seeing the magnificent Victoria Falls! South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe Travel Review: Victoria Falls, Cape Town, Safari, Wine

We have just returned from the most amazing two-week trip to South Africa, Botswana, and Zimbabwe. Zicasso’s travel team was absolutely the best. My mother-in-law has Parkinson's and this was her bucket-list trip. Our travel agent helped me plan the perfect trip for her that included two safaris, wine country, Victoria Falls, and all the sights in Cape Town and the surrounding areas.

She was available to us throughout the trip. There was even wine and birthday treats for us at various hotels! She checked us into our smaller flights beforehand and made sure every last detail was taken care of. All of the accommodations were top-notch and our guides and transfers went smoothly. My husband and I could not have asked for anything more. Most importantly, my mother-in-law had the most wonderful experience.

I will definitely be recommending our travel team's services to anyone going to Africa. And I will use this service again in the future to plan all my trips.
