Detailed Description

Choosing which time of year to travel is a vital ingredient in planning a vacation. Explore Beijing’s delights robed in winter beauty: stroll across a snow-covered Tiananmen Square, an area displaying best the pure patriotism within the country. Feel an icy breeze whirl around this beautiful city square, that is perhaps the most culturally and politically significant landmark in China. Proceed to the Forbidden City, an enchanting imperial palace, and witness tremendous man-made beauty enriched as white flakes eclipse its rooftops and surrounding trees. Twist, turn and tour around picturesque courtyards and narrow alleyways, where you’ll get a glimpse into the everyday lives of locals. Wander the fascinating Temple of Heaven Park and admire the stunning centuries-old buildings where emperors frequented to worship Heaven. Bargain your way around the Panjiayuan Flea Market, one of the largest and most popular fairs in the country - featuring an unbelievable amount of antiques, decorations, paintings, crafts and other goods. Feel your feet sink into delicate white flakes as you take each step across the wondrous Great Wall, while embracing its surreal snow-glittered surroundings.

Take to the unique Harbin. Once under rule by Russia, you will see the significant influence this period had as stunning Russian-style architecture lines the city’s streets. Nicknamed the ‘Ice City’, Harbin is one of the northernmost cities in China and its extreme winters help make it the uniquely beautiful area that it is. Admire the beauty and revel in delight as the International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival comes to life in the parks around the region: stunningly detailed ice sculptures replicating historic buildings and famous heroes create magic as the night sky descends and a sea of lights ignite their beauty.

Witness the elegant Songhua Lake as beautiful deer wander its frozen edges and winter activities including skating and skiing take place on the icy surface. Watch the stunning Ice Lantern Garden Party in Zhaolin Park, where both local and international craftsmen showcase their exquisite talents while the surrounding mountains and lakes paint a picture of perfection. Enjoy the magical scenes in the city center: former Russian church, St Sophia Cathedral, is truly wondrous as snow sits on its peaks and orange backlights provide a beautiful glow that projects across the adjacent city square. China Luxury Trip Review: Dali Three Pagodas, Dongchuan Red Lands, Lijiang, Hangzhou, Longsheng Rice Terrace
This tour company was very easy to work with. They listened to what we wanted, which was not a standard China tour, and came back with good suggestions. They would guide us when we were asking to go somewhere that would take up a lot of time due to its remoteness and offer another option.

Travel Review: Luxury Trip to China, Beijing, Xi'an, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Great Wall, Terra Cotta Warriors

Very well planned trip and we liked the guides in each city.  Our guide in Beijing was our favorite and we really enjoyed the guide in Xi'an too.   There was always someone waiting for us at each destination and the transportation/drivers also did a good job.  We got to see everything we had hoped to - the Great Wall, the Terra Cotta Warriors, the high speed train, rickshaw ride, Forbidden City, CIty Wall in Xi'an, the skyline in Shanghai, Peking duck meal in Beijing (we actually had 2), the floating restaurant in Hong Kong, the harbor in Hong Kong and more.  We also got to experience pandas in Hong Kong at the amusement park on our free day, the Chinese calligraphy class, dancing with people in the French Park in Shanghai, and the meeting with the Cricket Master in Beijing was an unexpected trip highlight.

The head of the tour company also gave us a very nice personalized gift of a stamp in Chinese of each of our names - the same stamps artists and collectors put on the art in China.  We also had our guide help us buy a full sized Terra Cotta Warrior for our garden that is going to be shipped in September.

The guides gave us great information on the life of Chinese citizens as well.  The hotels were great  in that they were very upscale and well located for our day to day adventures.   I loved having a free day in each city as well - made the pacing of the trip better than in the past where we never had a down day that allowed us to sleep in a little and experience the city on our own terms.

I was very very happy with the service overall.

Travel Review: Tour of China, Shenzhen, Beijing, Chengdu, Shanghai, Xi'an, Guilin, Great Wall, Terracotta Warriors

This travel agent planned our 3 week trip to explore China for our party of four.  We started in Beijing and walked on the Great Wall, learned much about Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, went to Xian for the Terracotta Warriors, to Chengdu for the Pandas, Hangzhou and Tunxi, then a hike up the Huangshan Mountain; Shanghai and the Shanghai Tower, Guilin for the amazing countryside and rice terraces, Shenzhen to visit our nephew and Hong Kong as the finale.  Transportation, guides, accommodations were wonderful and effortless for us.   In a land of millions of people and many tourists, the guides slid through the crowds and found places to explore that were not as crowded as others.

Our travel company helped us coordinate visas, travel insurance, and provided tipping and shopping guidance.  Any small concern (and they were minimal) were met with a smile and addressed.  They even sent a replacement van up Longji Mountain.

I would highly recommend the travel company for your China tour.

Travel Review: Family Trip to China & Tibet, Beijing, X'ian, Shanghai, Chengdu, Pudacuo National Park, Wildlife & Culture

Don’t skimp on a tour company. This was my 3rd trip to Beijing and the best yet. Our guides were fluent in English, accommodating, informative, curious and enjoyed sharing their slice of China. Our guide in Tibet said she liked small private tours because it makes her feel like she is traveling with family. We definitely felt well cared for and welcomed. Accommodations were mostly 4* and the breakfasts were very good. Limited ‘western’ options but very good if you enjoy Chinese breakfast items. Most lunches were in local restaurants and the guides helped us select varied entrees. Dining experiences were true to the distinct regions. We miss the food, already. Besides finding good guides, our tour company did a very good job to pace our trip. Our trip included the popular highlights and several less frequented sites. I felt like our experience was broader and deeper than a big-bus tour yet very efficient and easy.

Travel Review: Luxury China Tour, Beijing, Xion, Guilin, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Yunnan Province, Forbidden City, Terracotta Warriors

The challenges of traveling in China, such as its size, language, and culture, were completely answered by the tour designed and prepared for us by this travel company. Each guide and driver in each of our five major locations  was amazingly knowledgeable and helpful. They introduced us to China's five thousand year old history and culture and showed us the "real" China without having to stick to a strict schedule. When we discovered that the heat and altitude in some parts of our tour were too much for us, our guides were quick to suggest alternatives that never diminished from the total experience. Traveling by ourselves, but with the aid and assistance of our local experts and wonderful drivers made us feel like we were really seeing China as true travelers and not just part of a large and boring tour group.

I highly recommend this company to any serious traveler in Asia who genuinely wants to experience a country and its people. We trusted our tour planner to suggest and plan a tour for the two of us that met our expectations and he more than achieved that in creating an experience that allowed us to see not only the major and key elements of a China tour but also the secret and uniquely wonderful aspects of that ancient and amazing culture. It was truly the trip of a life time!

China Travel Review: Beijing, Xi'an, Terracotta Warriors, Guilin, Yangshuo, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Great Wall, Chengdu, Pandas...
I had a wonderful time. We had an opportunity to travel in China before the start of the Spring Festival. At first i was a bit hesitant to travel during such a busy time of the year, but we had no problems traveling in China. The company we used were very professional, and was easy to deal with. Last minute changes had to be made because an internal flight in was canceled. Adjustments were made to our trip while we were in China, and there were no problems.
