We just returned from a wonderful 8 night trip to Croatia, Montenegro and Slovenia and have nothing but praise for our agent and this travel company. We travel around the globe and have used multiple agents to arrange private tours but this experience topped them all. In the initial organizing process I contacted 4 operators to get some ideas of itinerary and prices and most were trying to dissuade me from our active itinerary of visiting multiple locations in a week. Our agent instead listened and provided exactly what I was looking for along with the inside information how to make the itinerary run smoothly and still feel like vacation. He had multiple great ideas for places to visit including several I had not considered on my own. I asked for a romantic dinner for our anniversary and he found an incredible fine dining experience in a cave that was unique and outstanding. All of our drivers and guides were prompt, professional, spoke English well and willing to talk. The vehicles were excellent. The food among the best and freshest I have had anywhere. If I could give him him credit for the incredible weather I would as well. The itinerary was varied including boat trips, islands, mountains, nature and medieval, Roman and Greek cities. There was really some of everything and despite visiting so any places, we both felt relaxed and like we had a good feel and appreciation for everywhere we went. We especially appreciated that when we arrived in Split, our agent and his wife met us for dinner just to socialize. They were a lovely couple and it was fun to chat. The following day, after our tour of Split and Trogir, our agent rented bikes for us and rode with us around the park he rides in daily and then we stopped for a beer. So overall, we would say great service, memorable trip, very safe, clean and friendly countries and well worth the money.

The month long trip throughout Croatia and Slovenia exceeded expectations. The itinerary was Zagreb, northern counties, Lake Bled, Ljubljana, Rovinja, Plitvice lakes, Split, Hvar, Dubrovnik and many points in between and around those areas. The terrain is beautiful, the culture tremendous, the people friendly, and the wine and food exceptional. The planning of our itinerary with this agent was half the fun and her suggestions and recommendations proved very sound. We wanted a combination of self guided and private tours. The arrangements with car rentals and cars, guides, and drivers were great. All the guides were extremely knowledgable, friendly, intelligent, and able to answer all our questions. The vehicles and drivers were first class. The wine tours and cultural tours were great and allowed us the freedom to enjoy without worrying about driving. The country is very easy to travel in and encourages tourism well. We were there from The middle of May to the middle of June. This travel agency was first rate and easily gets a 5 star rating. The 2 hours we spent on the phone with our agent ironing out details was time very well spent.

My husband and I had a private nine-day tour of Croatia and Slovenia designed by the Zicasso tour operator.
We were driven from Rovinj to Dubrovnik, with stops in Zadar, Split, Hvar, Trogir, Plitvice Lakes National Park, and Ston. We also spent time in Ljubljana, Slovenia. We were picked up in Padova, where we were staying, and returned there. Everything was perfect, from the initial planning to the completion of our tour.
The travel agent drew up the itinerary, arranged for our driver/guide, booked the hotels, scheduled city guides, made restaurant reservations, and purchased all entrance tickets. Our private driver/guide was an excellent driver who gave intelligent and interesting information throughout the trip. He was very knowledgeable. In addition, he made sure we were well taken care of, from handling our luggage to making sure we were on time for all events. He was also fun and easy to be around. We always felt we were in good hands.
We could not have had a better trip. We highly recommend this travel company and our driver/guide.

Our travel agent and travel company prepared and executed an outstanding 15 night trip in Croatia and Slovenia. Our trip took us to Dubrovnik (3 nights), Hvar (3 nights), Split (day visit), Mostar (Bosnia), Montenegro (day visit), Trogir, (1 night), Plitvice Lakes (1 nights), Rovinj (3 nights), Ljubljana (2 nights), Lake Bled (day trip) and Zagreb (1 night). We covered a lot of villages, but the time in each location was perfect! We never felt rushed or bored with each location. We stayed in small 3 and 4 star hotel/villas for the most part. However, Ljubljana and Zagreb were larger hotels. Vehicles/drivers were always on time and all of them added their local knowledge to each of the locations. Tours were 1 to 2 hours each and the guides were all great. With private drivers and tours, we had the ultimate flexibility – if we decided to cut an event short, we just called the driver to come pick us up. If we wanted to skip a castle and do a wine tour all we had to do was ask. If we were interested in one area, the tour guides would tailor their tours to meet our interests.
Our US based agent was located in Chicago, which made it easy to coordinate flight details. Our agent did a great job coordinating travelers from two US locations (Boston and Chicago) and getting us meet up in London, for our connecting flight to Zagreb. Our local agent was located in Zagreb and was always available for our questions and minor change requests to our itinerary. Even though the office was closed on weekends, she was always checking her emails and we would usually get responses to requests within an hour or so. I think I called her 6 times during our trip and she always treated me like an old friend. She really took the time to understand all our interests, needs and concerns and prepared a fantastic trip for 7 people (one handicapped). We brought our own wheelchair, which was a Roughrider brand. It did well in all the towns and the cobblestones were not a big problem, but we did have to deal with some stairs in every location. Relative to this travel agency – go with them, you won't regret it.

Our Slovenia and Croatia tour with Zicasso’s travel company exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, the seamless organization and knowledgeable guides made every day a delight.
Slovenia's stunning landscapes and charming towns were expertly showcased, with highlights including Lake Bled and Ljubljana's vibrant culture. Crossing into Croatia, we explored historic Dubrovnik's ancient walls and relaxed on the breathtaking Dalmatian Coast. The itinerary balanced cultural immersion with leisure time perfectly, ensuring we experienced both countries authentically.
Our tour company’s attention to detail, coupled with their passion for showcasing hidden gems, made this journey a true adventure. We highly recommend them for an enriching and unforgettable experience. Our agents were very attentive and helped with whatever we needed on the spot. Their support made the trip very enjoyable, one on which we did not have to worry about anything going wrong.
