Luxury European Vacation Review: Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Split, Rovinj, Hvar, Mostar, Lake Bled

Our travel agent and travel company prepared and executed an outstanding 15 night trip in Croatia and Slovenia.  Our trip took us to Dubrovnik (3 nights), Hvar (3 nights), Split (day visit), Mostar (Bosnia), Montenegro (day visit), Trogir, (1 night), Plitvice Lakes (1 nights), Rovinj (3 nights), Ljubljana (2 nights), Lake Bled (day trip) and Zagreb (1 night).  We covered a lot of villages, but the time in each location was perfect!  We never felt rushed or bored with each location.  We stayed in small 3 and 4 star hotel/villas for the most part. However, Ljubljana and Zagreb were larger hotels.  Vehicles/drivers were always on time and all of them added their local knowledge to each of the locations.  Tours were 1 to 2 hours each and the guides were all great.  With private drivers and tours, we had the ultimate flexibility – if we decided to cut an event short, we just called the driver to come pick us up.  If we wanted to skip a castle and do a wine tour all we had to do was ask.  If we were interested in one area, the tour guides would tailor their tours to meet our interests.

Our US based agent was located in Chicago, which made it easy to coordinate flight details.  Our agent did a great job coordinating travelers from two US locations (Boston and Chicago) and getting us meet up in London, for our connecting flight to Zagreb.  Our local agent was located in Zagreb and was always available for our questions and minor change requests to our itinerary. Even though the office was closed on weekends, she was always checking her emails and we would usually get responses to requests within an hour or so.  I think I called her 6 times during our trip and she always treated me like an old friend.  She really took the time to understand all our interests, needs and concerns and prepared a fantastic trip for 7 people (one handicapped).  We brought our own wheelchair, which was a Roughrider brand.  It did well in all the towns and the cobblestones were not a big problem, but we did have to deal with some stairs in every location.   Relative to this travel agency – go with them, you won't regret it.

Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro Vacation Review: Ljubljana, Lake Bled, Zagreb, Sarajevo, Dubrovnik, Kotor

My wife and I did a private, 13-day tour through Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro with Zicasso's travel partner. We visited Ljubljana, Lake Bled, Zagreb, Plitvice Lakes National Park, Sarajevo, Mostar, Dubrovnik, and Kotor. I provided them with an outline of the cities and places I wanted to visit and they suggested several additional sites and activities that we may want to include while we visited those locations. After a couple of iterations and tweaks to the itinerary, we finalized the trip outline. Shortly thereafter, they booked our hotels to allow us to make our flight reservations way in advance. We received plenty of communications from them as our trip date approached and a detailed itinerary, with contact information for our guides and drivers, so we knew what to expect.

During the trip, there were a few surprises. When one activity had to be canceled, our travel agents got in touch with us and quickly found a more than acceptable alternative. When a tour time needed to change, they were able to reschedule all of our day's activities to reasonable times. The hotels, guides, and drivers were all excellent. They were easy to work with and we highly recommend them.

Croatia Travel Review: Ogulin, Seamless Logistics, 8 Nights

We had a really good experience! We had ideas of what we wanted to do and iterated with Zicasso's trip planner a few times to settle on our plans. The hotels were all very good and in great locations

She arranged for great morning city tours with friendly, knowledgeable locals, and drivers for different cities and connections. The drivers were all early to our pick-ups and flexible for slight detours or exploring!

Late afternoons and evenings were open for us to relax, explore, and find dining (as we requested), and she provided a good list of dining options as well!

Travel Review: Croatia & Slovenia Family Vacation, Ljubljana, Rovinj, Split, Hvar, Dubrovnik, Plitvice Lakes National Park

Croatia is a fantastic country with bit of everything. We booked 15 days tour with this Croatia travel agency for our trip from Ljubljana to Rovinj to Plitvice to Split to Hvar and then Dubrovnik. Our agent was extremely prompt and flexible in answering our queries and designing the trip. Extremely efficient as well. He is friendly and professional as well. All guides or drivers were always on time and nothing was stressful for us in the trip as everything was well arranged. They went out of their way to make our trip a memorable experience. All the drivers and guides were friendly and willing to give an insight into their beautiful country. Mishap was amazing so was the guide in Dubrovnik, Pula and everywhere else. Our agent was always in touch with us through our trip and also helping us with any restaurant recommendations or any other last minute changes. He also met us at Split for a wonderful dinner giving it a special friendly touch. I would highly recommend this company and also don't event think twice before travelling to Croatia or booking thru this company.

Luxury Croatia Vacation Review: Dubrovnik, Hvar, Split, Oyster Farm Tour, Wine Tasting, Kayaking, Hiking

This is the first time we used a recommended tour company from Zicasso, and we couldn't be happier with working with this company.  Our consultant was incredible from day 1 with the first email.  We were a group of 6-three couples, and we requested a combination of activities: 5 star small boutique hotels, fantastic fresh food and wine experiences. Our consultant organized an incredible tour and everything was perfect.  All 6 people in the group could not believe how well organized, smooth, fun, high quality and hands-on he was with every aspect of our trip, including meeting us personally with a bottle of wine and grappa, and recommending incredible restaurant in Split as part of our tour.  Do not miss the Bibich winery and food pairings or the oyster/mussel farm visit.  Let this consultant make recommendations-he is local, from Split and knows so many aspects of the country, people, experts and specialists.  In addition, he is calling every single driver, checking on every timeline, following up with every restaurant and hotel.  He was going to talk to the ferry captain to delay departure because we were running late.  At the last day we asked about visiting a church to purchase an icon, and he organized an incredible last minute visit and tour of a local monastery.   there were so many highlights, every day was a highlight.
