Landing in the Heart of the Empire

Arrive this morning on the outskirts of London, the capital of the United Kingdom and the center of the world for nearly three hundred years. The might and sophistication of this great world city is ever present, from the Palace of Westminster to the Tower of London to St. Paul’s Cathedral. You might want to take the afternoon to see one of the city’s great cultural artifacts, from the Elgin Marbles at the British Museum to the hallowed remains of kings and queens that fill Westminster Abbey.

In the evening, visit one of London’s finest restaurants in its most fashionable districts, where classical French fare is right next door to deliciously authentic Indian cuisine, a gastronomical reminder of the many cultures that call London home. In the evening, see London from a very different side as you take a guided, illuminated cruise of the winding, majestic banks of the River Thames.

England, Ireland Travel Review: Dublin, London, Stonehenge, Bath, London Eye, Thames Cruise, Afternoon Tea, 8 Days

We can't say enough good things about Zicasso’s travel company and their agent. I worked closely with him in planning our trip to Dublin and London. He listened carefully to what we were looking for, offered great ideas, was incredibly responsive, and also extremely patient and flexible. We worked through several versions of the itinerary.

Our agent selected lovely hotels in perfect locations. He arranged a wonderful walking tour in Dublin with a knowledgeable guide and a full-day private trip to Stonehenge and Bath. Bath was his idea and it was a highlight of the trip. Our guide for that trip was excellent as well.

Our agent picked a lovely venue for a delicious afternoon tea in London and got us perfect seats for the two shows we selected. He recommended the London Eye and a Thames cruise, both of which we enjoyed.

Every person selected to pick us up arrived exactly on time. Our flight from Dublin to London went smoothly. When we had questions during our trip, our agent was always available to guide us.

We took our 16-year-old son on this trip and wanted it to be perfect. He had never been to Europe before. Our son loved the trip and it was an extremely fun and special time for us to spend with him. Thank you so much to our agent and his company for such a wonderful travel experience.

Review: England Vacation, London, Bath, Oxford, Dover Cliffs, Stonehenge, Leeds Castle, Canterbury Cathedral, Jane Austen Tour

This travel agency planned an excellent London, Bath, and multiple side-trip vacation for me and my family. The logistics were well-designed and executed. The tour guides were well above average, and the hotel choices in London and Bath were perfect.

We spent five nights in London, three nights in Bath, and our final night in Oxford.

Our side-trips from London included a day visiting sites related to the life of Jane Austen (Steventon, Chawton, Winchester, and Lacock) and day traveling south to visit Leeds castle in Kent, the Canterbury Cathedral, and the Dover Cliffs.

Our final day side trip took us from Bath, through Bradford-on-Avon, to Stonehenge, Highclere Castle, and then ending the day in Oxford.

United Kingdom Travel Review: England, Ireland, Dublin, London, Waterford Castle, Wicklow Mountains, Guiness & Jameson Distillery

This United Kingdom travel agency was very professional and able to provide great information.  They were very flexible with what we wanted to do and see.  I really enjoyed the schedule that was provided.

We really enjoyed Waterford Castle.  The room was nice and the staff was pleasent.  It was recommended that we drive to see the Wicklow Mountains on our way back to Dublin.  I would recommend providing directions for a specific point of entry as we got lost on our way (we used google maps which didn't take us to a specific spot to really enjoy the scenery).

We loved, loved, loved the Ireland drivers.  They were very personable and provided us with a lot of local information and recommendations. We also liked the staff and location of the Brooks Hotel.  We would highly recommend for others.  The 2 day pass was really nice - Guiness Store and Jameson Distillery were very fun!

Our London driver was professional but did not provide any information regarding the area.  The St. Giles Hotel was a nice location, and the room was fine but on the smaller side.  We only had one wash cloth on the first night.  I requested more but they didn't have any for our entire stay.  I also wish they would have provided free Wi-Fi.  We had breakfast at the VQ restraunt and the staff was great.

We enjoyed the 2 day pass in London.  I would have liked a 3 day pass as 2 days is just not long enough!

Luxury Trip to Great Britain & Ireland Review: England, Wales, Avoca, Wicklow Mountains, History & Sites

I was pleased with the trip experience and thought that the tour company did a good job setting everything up regarding accommodations, tours and inter-country flights.  We enjoyed all the accommodations that we stayed in and have no issues with any of the properties.  All were very nice and in great locations. The tours that we took part in were equally as nice as well.  We enjoyed having the opportunity to experience the Cotswolds’, Bath and Wales.  We also enjoyed our tour within Ireland seeing the Wicklow Mountains, Powerscourt, and Avoca.  Overall very satisfied with everything. The travel company, once we arrived, sent out all of the contact information of our drivers, tour guides and transfer information which was very helpful. They were also very responsive and provided good follow-up.

Ireland, Scotland, England Family Trip Review: Edinburgh, Stonehenge, Windsor Castle, Cliffs of Moher, History, Castle, Local Cuisine, Scenery, Art, 21 Days

Zicasso's trip planner worked with my family for the better part of a year planning our big family trip. She provided exceptional service and planned every detail of our trip. We have a large family, with lots of moving parts. There were many changes in the itinerary along the way and she rolled with all the many changes. She was always polite, courteous, and graceful in her many interactions with our family.

She listened carefully during our initial conversations to help us plan the best trip possible. Being a large family, with multiple generations, she really created the best possible experience, taking in everyone's wishes. Working with her was very relieving, knowing she was taking care of all the details.

Our family's trip took us from the States to Ireland, Scotland, and England. We traveled on planes, trains, ferry, and drove a car. Our trip planner arranged every detail meticulously. We stayed in lovely, quaint, boutique hotels, ate the most wonderful foods, saw the amazing sights, and UNESCO World Heritage Sites across all three countries. From the Cliffs of Moher to the Culloden Moor Memorial to Stonehenge to castles grand and desolate; from beautiful cathedrals to old abbey ruins; from little country pubs to Michelin-starred restaurants; and even spending a couple days in an actual 17th-century castle, every minute was amazing! Truly amazing!

Scotland, England, Ireland Family Trip Review: London, Edinburgh, Kirkcudbright, Dublin, 12-Night Vacation

My family and I decided to take a trip to the small town of Kirkcudbright, Scotland, to visit MacLellan's Castle due to family ancestry. We wanted to make a full trip out of it and see more of the UK and Ireland, so we reached out to the Zicasso travel agency to help us with the trip.

We started in London, then to Edinburgh, then Kirkcudbright, and on to Dublin, Ireland. The trip planner was so easy to work with and handled our various questions and requests very well, despite our group number changing a few times.

Our accommodations in every location were great and in convenient spots to explore each city. He even navigated us visiting the small town of Kirkcudbright, with very few accommodation options for our final group of six.

We took the train from London to Edinburgh and a ferry from Kirkcudbright to Dublin, and both were such great experiences, including upgrades to first class and a nice lounge on the ferry.

Our agent was easy to communicate with and made sure things were going well, even while we were on the trip. My family and I could not have asked for a better trip and would definitely recommend this travel company for a visit to the UK/Ireland.
