Scotland, England, Ireland Family Trip Review: London, Edinburgh, Kirkcudbright, Dublin, 12-Night Vacation

My family and I decided to take a trip to the small town of Kirkcudbright, Scotland, to visit MacLellan's Castle due to family ancestry. We wanted to make a full trip out of it and see more of the UK and Ireland, so we reached out to the Zicasso travel agency to help us with the trip.

We started in London, then to Edinburgh, then Kirkcudbright, and on to Dublin, Ireland. The trip planner was so easy to work with and handled our various questions and requests very well, despite our group number changing a few times.

Our accommodations in every location were great and in convenient spots to explore each city. He even navigated us visiting the small town of Kirkcudbright, with very few accommodation options for our final group of six.

We took the train from London to Edinburgh and a ferry from Kirkcudbright to Dublin, and both were such great experiences, including upgrades to first class and a nice lounge on the ferry.

Our agent was easy to communicate with and made sure things were going well, even while we were on the trip. My family and I could not have asked for a better trip and would definitely recommend this travel company for a visit to the UK/Ireland.

United Kingdom Travel Review: England, Ireland, Dublin, London, Waterford Castle, Wicklow Mountains, Guiness & Jameson Distillery

This United Kingdom travel agency was very professional and able to provide great information.  They were very flexible with what we wanted to do and see.  I really enjoyed the schedule that was provided.

We really enjoyed Waterford Castle.  The room was nice and the staff was pleasent.  It was recommended that we drive to see the Wicklow Mountains on our way back to Dublin.  I would recommend providing directions for a specific point of entry as we got lost on our way (we used google maps which didn't take us to a specific spot to really enjoy the scenery).

We loved, loved, loved the Ireland drivers.  They were very personable and provided us with a lot of local information and recommendations. We also liked the staff and location of the Brooks Hotel.  We would highly recommend for others.  The 2 day pass was really nice - Guiness Store and Jameson Distillery were very fun!

Our London driver was professional but did not provide any information regarding the area.  The St. Giles Hotel was a nice location, and the room was fine but on the smaller side.  We only had one wash cloth on the first night.  I requested more but they didn't have any for our entire stay.  I also wish they would have provided free Wi-Fi.  We had breakfast at the VQ restraunt and the staff was great.

We enjoyed the 2 day pass in London.  I would have liked a 3 day pass as 2 days is just not long enough!

England, Ireland Vacation Review: Dublin, Connemara, Ashford Castle, Cliffs of Dover, London

Our Zicasso travel agents arranged a wonderful trip to England and Ireland. Particularly helpful were the driver/guides and the travel details. We enjoyed Ashford Castle, a dinner music event in Dublin, and the wilds of Connemara. All the accommodations were so special and the drivers were so informative.

England & Scotland Review: Couple's Luxury Vacation, London, Bath, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Isle of Skye, Beatles Tour, Scenery
We had a wonderful time visiting London, Bath, Liverpool, Edinburgh and the Isle of Skye. We had been to England twice before but both times were predominantly spent in or around London. This time we had delightful stays in Bath and Liverpool. Our visit to Scotland, especially our 3 day tour of the Highlands and the Isle of Skye was magical in so many ways. The scenery spectacular, the people friendly and fun to be around, and the destinations well-planned and well-timed. Our two adult children who reviewed the finalized travel plan provided by this travel team were amazed by the detail of the planning which included all transportation, lodging, private tours, tour guides, and one small group tour in Scotland. I believe they have been inspired to follow in our footsteps. We would highly recommend this travel team to anyone who has not yet had the opportunity to fully appreciate a customized travel experience in the British Isles and Ireland. It was our first time and I cannot imagine doing it again any other way. Kudos to our trip planners for making this such a memorable trip.

Ireland & England Family Vacation Review: London, Killarney, Galway, Dublin, Stonehenge, Castles, Horseback Ride, 10-Day Trip
Our family of 4 worked with Julie at the travel agency to create a 10 day itinerary with 2-4 days in each of London, Killarney, Galway, and Dublin. Overall the trip was fantastic, and really showed Julie and the travel agency knew the areas well.  Our overall itinerary had a really nice flow including a mix of city touring as well as getting out into nature which was exactly what we wanted, with lots of variety day to day.  The hotels were excellent and met exactly what we were looking for, in particular being close walking distance to the heart of each city.  And the drivers, tour guides, and activities were all top notch and delivered incredible experiences and lots of memories. The planning process to create the trip with Julie was top notch as well.  Julie took the time to really listen to what we wanted and our family's preferences at the start, was quick to respond and easy to communicate with all throughout the planning, put together a really solid initial proposal solving for what we'd asked, and then was easy to work with as we provided feedback or she had proactive suggestions to really tune the final details.Overall highly recommended and would absolutely use this travel company again!

Travel Review: Luxury Ireland Tour, Dublin, Belfast, Galway, Limerick, Dingle, Killarney, Kilkenny, Cliffs of Moher, Distilleries
We were looking for a guided tour of Ireland and found an itinerary similar to what were thinking. The 1-800 number listed on the web site led us to our trip planner. We talked for a few minutes and she said she would send some suggestions within a few days. The itenerary was exactly what we were looking for. She did say that there was considerable driving but that it was doable.  Each of the areas noted had several main attractions which were designed to acquaint us with the essence of Ireland in its history, the people and their way of life and the future. There were 7 main touring areas: Dublin, Belfast, Galway, Limerick, Dingle, Killarney and Kilkenny. Each area had a number of suggested attractions. Our drivers were very knowledgeable of our schedule for the entire trip and asked, with our permission, to change some suggestions in order to give us the broadest experience. This worked very well. Our drivers provided an eye-opening experience as they delved into the early history, the middle ages and the current issues facing Ireland today. The accommodations were carefully selected, well in advance, to give us a balanced experience in both luxury hotel and B&Bs. We could not have asked for a better mix. All selections were of the highest standard in both facility, proprietor management and helpful guidance for dining and local music. In summary, I can say that the group at the travel company with our travel agent very quickly evaluated what we wanted to get from the trip and provided the location, schedule and the drivers that would fit our personalities. *****
