England Travel Review: London, Windsor, York, Durham, Stonehenge, Hadrian's Wall, Soccer, Yorkshire Dales, 10-Day Trip
This is our third trip working with a Zicasso-recommended agency to plan our travel for an international vacation. We were again very pleased with the agency and enjoyed our trip immensely. Zicasso recommended two different agencies and we spoke to both. Mirella with this travel agency contacted us first. She was friendly and listened carefully to our very vague idea of what we wanted to do with the time we had for a trip to England in May. After the initial conversation, she quickly proposed a general itinerary, and we followed it with a phone call to ask questions and make refinements. After a couple of additional calls, we had a plan. We chose this agency over the other travel agent who contacted us because Mirella contacted us first, responded fastest to our questions, and gave us a proposed itinerary very quickly. Neither my husband nor I had been to England before, and trying to narrow down what to see in England in 10 days was absolutely overwhelming. The one request that we did have was to attend a Premier League soccer match involving Newcastle United. Newcastle was playing two matches during our planned time in England, so Mirella was tasked with finding tickets for us to one of those matches, and then building the entire rest of the stay around that date. The match she found tickets for was in Leeds, and in light of the limited time, and my husband's interest in history, she proposed an itinerary that included visiting Hadrian's Wall, and spending half of the trip in the northern England in Durham and York. The remaining 5 days she proposed we spend sightseeing in London and visiting museums with private guides and taking a day trip with a guide to Stonehenge and Windsor. We finalized the plan, and it ended up being a perfect initial foray into England!

Luxury Scotland & England Vacation Review: London, Cotswolds, York, Isle of Skye, Edinburgh, Lochs, Castles, Scottish Highlands
Our party of 4 just returned from our 2 week tour of England. London was our first destination. It was great from the start. We had a private driver and tour guides the whole time. Angela was our guide for England and Jeffrey was our guide in Scotland. Both were awesome and took exceptional care of us. We drove about 1000 miles from London up through the Cotswolds, York and then into Scotland, and all the way up to the Isle of Skye and the Lochs. We ended our trip in Edinburgh. Everything was customized to our particular interests and just wonderful. We stayed in castles along the way for the full on Downton Abbey experience and visited some sites from the Outlander movies. I would be hard pressed to say what my favorite things were, since everywhere we went was amazing. We did love our nights at the castles. The Castle near Chester-le-Street, the Castle near Girvan and the Castle near Fort William were magical. It was a vacation of a life time. I can't say enough about our guide Jeffrey in Scotland. I've never seen anyone more bent on pleasing his guests. All we had to do was mention a place or stop or whatever and he'd make it happen. A more knowledgeable and purely nice person you'll never meet.I hope to get another chance to tour with Jeffrey and this travel company. We're already thinking about next year.

Travel Review: Luxury Father-Son Trip to England, London, Cornwall, Manchester, Liverpool, Flybe, Premier League Football

On April 18th, 2018 my son Brian and I departed from Charlotte, NC on a two week trip to England that was designed to provide both of us with first class experience witnessing major Premier League Football events and see as much of London, Cornwall, Manchester and LIverpool along with the football experience.  Close to nine months in advance we started our conversation with these travel agents from this travel company from their location in Torrance, CA.  While we were unsure of how well a group from Southern California could provide detail assistance while we traveled throughout England we liked the tone of the information provided and after listening to some basic tour suggestions decided that the agent's sounded knowledgeable and informative about how we would travel and how we would get to each scheduled event.  The bottom line is that we attended 4 separate football matches over two weekends (2 at Wembley, 1 at Anfield and 1 at Old Trafford). We also flew from Gatwick to Newquay, and Newquay to Manchester and stayed in 3 first class hotels as scheduled, an outstanding B&B in Cornwall and an unexpected stay in the a hotel and spa when our flight with Flybe was unfortunately cancelled.  In addition we had a full day guided tour in London and another in Cornwall and half day tour in Liverpool.  All of this was provided directly by Aour travel company even the unexpected night near Gatwick and rebooking the Flybe flight to Newquay from Gatwick.  In addition we enjoyed prepaid taxi service, Oyster card travel in London, rental car arrangements in Cornwall and paid train travel in Liverpool/Manchester were all managed by our travel company from Torrance, CA.  The entire trip was well planned and well executed by travel assistants and guides and was extremely enjoyable by both of us with an increased learning of the United Kingdom history and culture and a renewed desire to do it again, mostly because the assistance provided by our travel company took all worries away that anything would not go as expected.  For that reason we were extremely pleased that we chose to use this company and hope to utilize their services again sometime in the not too distant future.
