Paris is a city steeped in grandeur. The wide avenues and fashion are as iconic as the monuments decorating the skyline. Baroque buildings rise above lush gardens, adding a touch of the countryside to the heart of the urban space. Bakeries are as ubiquitous as boutique shops. You arrive at Charles de Gaulle International Airport, where your private transfer awaits to greet you. Your hotel is situated in the heart of the city, located near the rushing water of the Seine River. Cobblestones pave the meandering streets of the city. You can find the rich aroma of fresh macaroons around every corner, displayed in a variety of window dressings across the city.
After you settle in to the comforts of your hotel, the remainder of the day is yours to enjoy the city. You have the opportunity to visit the extraordinary Rodin Museum located in an 18th-century palace, which is now the Hotel Biron. The hotel has housed the Rodin Museum since 1919, maintaining a collection of over 6,000 sculptures and 8,000 paintings. One of the artist’s most famous iconic sculptures, The Thinker, remains deep in thought in the lavish garden. The travel company was OK. The drivers were always there. The hotels were nice and in good locations, generally. We had guides in three cities. One of the guides was really terrific. The other two were knowledgable but didn't talk to my daughter (14 years old) with whom I was traveling and one of them was very difficult to understand because of her strong accent so we learn much those two days. We had agreed on some things we wanted to do in two of the cities and the travel company said they would include them in the tours but didn't. We had a few food-focused activities set up. Gelato making was excellent. A day in the market and cooking was just OK - the facilities were really nice but the food actually wasn't particularly good. The one bad activity was truffle hunting which didn't correspond at all to what the itinerary said it was and it was really just wine tasting which wasn't an ideal day for a 14 year old. In any event, I would not work with this company again. I would have been better off just using tripadvisor and booking the trip on my own.

Our trip was to go from Munich, Germany, to Venice, Italy then to Cinque Terre National Park, then back to Munich. I spent over 50 hours trying to plan it all out and could not figure out all of the details of getting across the country and back to Munich, so I contacted Zicasso. We were nervous about engaging a company based in Italy to organize our trip- but we had no reason to be it turns out. I have been recommendingthis travel agency and Zicasso to everyone I know. They did such a great job for us.
Our travel agency created a tour that made us feel like royalty everywhere we went. The hotels and tour guides that they arranged for us were better than we could have asked for or expected. The SIM card for our phone so we had 24/7 contact in perfect English with the the travel team is a great, and they are really helpful and fast to respond. I have never had a better experience in Italy- and I have been several times before.
It is obvious that this travel specialist and his team know Venice very well and have lots of connections there. The hotel and both of the guides were terrific. I wish we could have afforded to buy more at the glass studio! The private boats from the airport and later to the train station were fantastic. The "opera" was unique and fun. Because it is NOT in the opera house or the official Venetian opera company (though offering the same exact shows) it was confusing and really hard to find- so we almost missed the beginning act. It was very very hot inside the house. I would almost suggest people not dress up too much for the show because it is very hot and the folding chairs are hard to manage in fancy clothes. I have never had a better time in Venice- and this was all because of the arrangements our travel company made for us.
I wanted to visit and hike Cinque Terre National Park and UNESCO site. It was great even though most of the trails we planned to hike were closed due to damage from the 2011 flood- so we did not get to do as much hiking as we hoped. There are several more strenuous trails people can take to get to all five villages, but we opted to enjoy the ferries and more walking around the villages. We did do one big hike- but it was not one most people can do. It was hundreds of stairs that are very steep and uneven. I loved it- but not many would unless they like hiking (or stairs!). The ferry is a great way to get around. It does not start before 10 am and it ends around 6pm- so you have to plan not to be left behind, but there is always the train so not a big deal. The hotel in Vernazza was terrific. Our room at the top of lots of stairs was at the height of the (very active) bell tower of the church- but who needs to sleep past 7 anyway! Also the breakfast was terrific. I would recommend this hotel and the restaurant again to everyone.
We had a private driver from the to Vernazza and then to a Milan airport (same guy). He is a very good driver and the vehicle was high quality well maintained and luxurious. This made me feel safe and happy when we traveled with him. I would recommend him too.
When booking our flights back to Munich, they even added Speedy Boarding and Fast Track to our tickets. This saved over an hour in line to check our bags and made us among the first to board the plane.
We will keep both Zicasso and this travel agency as part of our planning trips in the future.
Sincerely, Alexandra and Fred P

Hello, My family of four toured Munich, Austria and Italy for 17 days in July through this travel company and Zicasso. We had an amazing time! We worked with our agent to develop our first ever Europe trip. We loved all the destinations, some more than others. We felt our agent did a pretty good job but there were some snafus that we felt could have been avoided if better planned and communicated. For instance, we missed a train and had to repurchase tickets because it was not clear that two sets of train tickets were together for different days and one set got thrown away. Cha ching! Another major disappointment was that we missed a much anticipated boat tour off the Cinque Terre coast due to too tightly scheduled itinerary. Cha- ching! Thirdly, another boat tour was scheduled very far away from our hotel and did not realize the distance until late the night before. Luckily, our hotel was still at the desk and made arrangements for a driver to get us to our location in time for the boat tour. However, it too was very costly. Cha- ching! Our agent did offer to reimburse us for this taxi fee. On the upside, we loved the planned out books that listed our itinerary with the 5 W's and an H. Made each day easier having everything we needed in a neat, colored, hard-bound book.

This summer, I traveled to Europe for the time with my Husband. This travel agent planned a wonderful trip for us and I must say that I am still in my vacation hangover! :) We visited Italy, Switzerland, and Paris.
Italy: I had THE BEST TIME OF MY LIFE in Italy. We visited Venice, Florence, and Rome. Venice was indescribably romantic. Our hotel was hotel was located in the heart of the city so we covered the entire city by foot. We had a private tour guide and she was extremely knowledgeable and friendly.
After two days of stay in Venice, we next traveled by train to Florence, the fashion capital of Italy. On the first day, our agent had planned a private city tour for us. Our private tour guide was amazing! She told us about the city, best places to buy leather and best gelato place in Florence. Our hotel was strategically located. It was just 0.3 miles from the train station so we literally reached in 5 mins to our hotel. The next day was group tour to Ufizzi gallery and that's where we did not have a good time. The tour company was nice but the tour guide was not all that great. We received differential treatment there. I was not feeling well that day so instead of asking how I am doing, the guide asked my husband if we are done with our tour. WOW! I don't know if it was because of our color, race, or nationality.
The next day we went to explore the wilderness, the cypress-lined vineyards of Tuscany. We visited a small medieval town and then headed to wine tasting. There, we spent hours in lingering over a meal in the open air, had one of the best meals of our lives as the fresh ingredients were picked up from the market that day and the hosts were as gracious as your own grandmother. We truly enjoyed the glace of Italian culture there. The trip to Chianti was the best part of our entire journey.
The next day we traveled to the sun-washed city of Rome. We had a beautiful time there too.
Then We flew to Zurich. Our room was amazing and had a breathtaking view of the lake Lucerne with the city line of Lucerne. After two nights in Lucene, we then traveled to Lauterbrunnen. As they say, Switzerland is "Heaven on Earth" we actually did witness that heaven in Lauterbrunnen. The view of the valley of 72 waterfalls was incredible. Our hotel was located near the train station and the had a spectacular view from our room. Unfortunately, the hotel did not have any help available. Even for a glass of hot water, we had to climb up and down 3 floors, which was disappointing. Plus restaurants were super expensive and the food was terrible.
Then we went to Paris. Paris was again unforgettable. Because of our travel agent, we got to see the Batille's day parade and the gorgeous view of Eiffel tower in fireworks! That experience was unforgettable.
Overall, the trip was amazing. Our agent did put together an amazing itinerary for us and we had a time of our life there. Highly recommended!
