Spain Travel Agent Review: Solo Trip to Southern Andalusia Region, Food, Culture, History & Cities
After visiting Madrid and other surrounding cities, Barcelona and Valencia in the past, I was looking for a trip focused on the southern region of Andalusia. This trip was very well organized including the cities visited, the transportation from city to city, the tours offered and the hotels. The private tours were excellent and comprehensive. The hotels were also of the highest quality and the combination of activities throughout the trip were perfect for me. My travel designer was also available 24/7 by email or phone.

The travel agency was fabulous!  The hotels selected and tours planned were perfect.  All tickets for museums, parks, and trains and transportation were arranged ahead of time and allowed us to enjoy every minute of Barcelona, Valencia and Madrid.  We recommend Elena without hesitation.  She was always accessible.  We loved the app for our phone. The tour guides were outstanding -- very knowledgable and friendly.  Restaurant recommendations were also very helpful.  Thank you for an amazing trip.

Review: Spain Tour, Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid, Seville, Granada, Toledo, Costa Brava, Alhambra Tour, Soccer Game

We visited Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid, Sevilla, Granada and Toledo.

Our travel agency took care of making hotel reservations and providing us with guides for our tour.

All hotel reservations were fine, good, clean hotels great breakfast included.

Our guides were experts, very knowledgeable, nice and polite.

Our travel agency got us tickets for a soccer game in Barcelona and a bullfight in Madrid, good accommodations.

Only in one occasion, in Sevilla, we could not meet with our guide and had to go by our selves.

When visiting the Alhambra, in Granada, at the end of the visit we couldn't find where our bus was and had to take a taxi. The guide did not return with us.

In general, our travel agency's services were very good, they made our visit very enjoyable and would recommend them to any body willing to visit Spain.

Spain Travel Agent Review: Barcelona, Madrid, Seville, Gaudi, Sagrada Familia, Flamenco Show, Prado Museum, 6-Day Tour

The trip was supposed to cover Spain, Portugal, and Morocco for our supposed honeymoon in May 2020, but COVID-19 hit and the plan had to be changed. Notes:

- In the introduction phase, I could tell that Samuel is a service-oriented person, by the way he acted quickly to schedule a call to discuss what our preferences are. He is warm, friendly, and efficient, and he will want to get to know a client well before giving recommendations.

- I also had a smooth time with the refund process. I was given options to defer the trip to 2021 or cancel; I chose the former in March but as things became even more uncertain, I ultimately canceled the trip in June 2020. The refund process was smooth, and Samuel responded very promptly and considerately, as usual.

My wife and I got married eventually, and we moved to France in 2021. In October 2021, we decided to continue with the trip but condensed it to 6 days and within Spain only. We got in touch with Samuel again to plan a trip for November 2021. Notes:

- We want to commend Samuel for putting together the trip on such short notice. We were impressed by such a level of expertise and connections. Further proof that our trip would be in good hands.

We went on a 6-day tour covering Barcelona, Madrid, and Seville. We were surprised at how pampered we were throughout the whole trip. And we want to commend Samuel, Paloma, and the team for curating such a unique experience for us. Notes:

- Samuel and Paloma are very, very detailed. Prior to the trip, we received reminders about the EU Digital COVID Certificate, a detailed itinerary, a restaurant and food guide, and a travel pack containing our train tickets and detailed instructions regarding transportation along every step of the journey.

- Barcelona: Our guide was very passionate about the architecture of the city, Gaudi's works, and the Sagrada Familia. We had a very informative tour of Sagrada Familia, Park Güell, and many others, and she gave tips about the Barcelona dining scene. Overall, it was a very pleasant, educational experience.

- Madrid: Another amazing experience for us. Our guide took us around the sights of the city, explaining its architecture in detail. We appreciated how she structured her tour of the Prado Museum and the old city, which gave us a deeper understanding of Spanish history and its national psyche. In the evening, we watched a flamenco show (part of the tour), which was also quite a unique experience. The next day, our guide took us on a gastronomical journey around Madrid, and all stops were fantastic. He introduced Madrid to us in such a warm manner, evoking their own memories and experiences as Madrilenos while having us experience such sumptuous food.

- Seville: The last leg, and yet no less wonderful. On the day of arrival, our guide took us on a tapas tour, and then some. We had just so many amazing local tapas and drinks, but she also gave us insights about life in Seville and its past. As with Madrid, the food choices were very good; but after the tour, our guide gave even more recommendations of what to eat in Seville. Last, our guide gave us our last, and no less insightful, tour of landmarks such as the Alcazar and the cathedral. It was another enriching experience for us.

Overall, the trip was well-organized and well-curated. The timing was perfect, and the selection of sights, guides, and accommodation was excellent. Though we never got to meet Samuel in person, we felt that he got to know us and planned our trip well based on that. We will definitely get their services again.

BONUS: We went on a separate group trip to Tenerife in December 2021, and Samuel was quick to share his recommendations on things to see and do and where to eat as soon as he learned we went there. Excellent service, even to past clients! You'll be in good hands, for sure.

Travel Review: Tour of Spain, Madrid, Barcelona, Toledo, Segovia, Costa Brava Kayaking & Snorkeling, Prado Museum, Tapas Tour

I was planning our family trip to Spain and needed help.  I came across Zicasso's website which connected me to this travel agency.  I was a little skeptical since there weren't many reviews of this company.  I spoke to our agent and immediately felt at ease. She lives in Madrid so I felt that she was well equipped to plan our trip to Spain.  We communicated via email, and also set up times to speak over the phone.  She has a U.S. number, so the call is not considered an international call.

Our agent was so helpful in planning our trip.  She listened to our needs/wants, and offered suggestions.  She was very professional and very patient as we went through several changes to our itinerary.  Our trip was fabulous! We went to Madrid for 5 days, and then took the high speed train to Barcelona for 5 days.  Our agent planned our transportation to/from the airport and to/from the train station which was helpful since we don't know Spanish.  She also planned a couple of day trips from each city and some guided tours of each city.  We had a walking tour of Madrid and a private tour of the Prado Museum.  We also took day trips to Toledo and Segovia.  In Barcelona, we had a tapas tour and a Gaudi tour.  We also took a kayak/snorkel trip along Costa Brava which was so fun!  We got to see some amazing views of the coastline.  We also built in some days to explore on our own which turned out to be a great since the kids needed some down time.

All our drivers/private guides spoke English.  The guides we had were great.  They became part of the family for the day, and were so well versed in the history/culture of Spain.  The guided tours were well worth it. I felt that we got a lot more out of our trip than if we just explored on our own.  I would highly recommend this company!!
