Bora Bora – Arrive and Relax on Bora Bora, the Stunning Jewel of the Pacific

Bora Bora offers an idyllic slice of paradise at the heart of the South Pacific Sea. The lagoon shimmers with turquoise, and the coral gardens shine with an array of rainbow colors as the basalt peaks of Mount Otemanu and Pahia glisten in the sunlight with exposed basalt cliffs streaked with silver light. Frangipanis blossom amongst the dense rainforest and the sweet aroma of hibiscus emanates from the gorgeous pink and red petals. Your flight will land at Bora Bora Airport and immerse you in the immediate beauty of the secluded island. The breeze will carry the aroma of the sea while fruit stands speckle the single coastal road with ripening coconuts, juicy pineapple, and sweet limes.

Your private transfer will greet you upon your arrival and escort you by boat across the lagoon to a private motu, an islet, on which your elegant resort resides. Settle into the comforts of your luxurious overwater bungalow that blends the iconic accommodation of French Polynesian opulence with views of the soaring peaks from your private deck as schools of fish swim beneath the glass floor panels. In the evening, you will venture to the resort restaurant, summoned by the powerful rhythm of the toere, a slit-long drum. The dancers move their hips in quick succession, swishing their flowing skirts. The men open and close their bent knees like scissors performing the pa’oti, adding to the layers of movement and song leading into the night and offering the perfect welcome.

Travel Review: Luxury Tahiti Wedding Anniversary Trip, Bora Bora, Moorea, Raiatea, Catamaran Sunset Cruise, Sailing, Jeep Tour
I typically don't write reviews; however, for our travel specialist and the travel company, I am making an exception. Our trip to FP was to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. I wanted it to be the trip of a lifetime and it surpassed our expectations. Our travel specialist listened to our interests: we wanted to have the classic overwater bungalow experience, but, we also wanted to be on a boat as well as we met sailing and bareboat charter as a family. Our travel specialist put together the itinerary we were looking for: Four night on Moorea, three nights on the motor yacht ship, four nights on Bora Bora. We had also asked to do a couple of land based activities as well. We arrived in Tahiti after a long day of travel, and were taken to the hotel for an overnight. In the morning, we were taken to the ferry dock for our transfer to Moorea. On arrival we were taken to the hotel in Moorea. On Moorea our travel specialist booked a catamaran sunset cruise for two. Wonderful. She also booked a jeep tour. Some other guests said their tour was 'okay' (the drive didn't speak English). Our tour was really a pleasant surprise. The driver was excellent (played the ukule and sang). On day 4 we were transferred to the airport for a quick flight to Raiatea and were transferred to the harbor for our cruise on the ship. The cruise was incredible. There were twenty guests taken care of by a thirteen member crew. We had a breakfast on a beach. A lunch of the beach. As they were aware of our anniversary (and my wife's birthday) we had a private dinner every night at a different location on the boat. One night they serenaded us and presented an anniversary dessert. I can't say enough about how well we were treated. the ship cruised over to Bora Bora where we were dropped off. The captain of our private water taxi was waiting. He was in dress whites and the 30' boat felt very 'James Bond' like. It was fun to be whisked away to the hotel in Bora Bora this way! The hotel staff were excellent. The hotel food and service hit the mark. After our four days (including shark and stringray tour) it was time to head home. Again, thank you to our travel specialist for a spectacular trip!

Tahiti, Australia, & New Zealand Travel Review: South Pacific Cruise, 5-Week Vacation
Our trip to Australia, New Zealand and the Society Islands (Tahiti) was fabulous.  The company's planning and documentation was meticulous--every day, every flight, every ground transport, every hotel and excursion, and the Fiji  cruise line went swimmingly well.  I strongly recommend this travel company.

Luxury French Polynesia Travel Review: Tahiti, Motu Tautau, Bora Bora, Rangirora, Blue Lagoon, Sting Rays, Snorkeling, Sharks
We very much enjoyed our experience in French Polynesia! We visited Tahiti (for one night), a resort on Motu Tautau, Bora Bora and Rangirora. The transfers and flights went very well and we liked the islands we visited and our accommodations! One of the hotels we were originally going to stay at was going to be on strike during our stay so our travel agent found us even better accommodations on another island, which ended up being great!

French Polynesia Travel Review: Tahiti, 10-Day Trip

While my family and I thoroughly enjoyed the beauty of Tahiti, I regret to say that our experience with Zicasso's travel agent did not meet our expectations. We entrusted her with planning our 10-day vacation for a group of six, including four young adults in their 20s and early 30s, and unfortunately, several issues impacted our trip.

Of the ten days we were in Tahiti, only two excursions were arranged by our agent. Prior to departure, she sent us a finalized itinerary, and based on that schedule, we booked additional activities for the open days. However, on the second day of our trip, she informed us we had missed an excursion in Moorea. I referenced the itinerary she had provided, which listed that excursion for the following day. She claimed that the schedule had changed, and I was looking at an outdated version, despite never receiving an update or notification. She then placed the blame on airport staff for not informing us of the change—something that should have been her responsibility.

Additionally, the selection of one of the hotels for four nights did not align with the preferences we discussed. While the island and hotel are beautiful, the location was extremely isolated and better suited for honeymooners or older couples. The concierge offered little support in finding local activities, and we were disappointed to miss Easter Sunday services, which we had hoped to attend but received no assistance arranging.

Another major concern was the lodging setup. Our agent booked three rooms, each with a king and a single bed. This configuration was excessive for our group, as we could have comfortably managed with two rooms. This was an unnecessary expense, especially given the already significant cost of the trip.

Due to these issues—lack of communication, poor alignment with our group’s interests, and inefficient planning—I would not recommend her services, nor would I book with this travel agency again.

French Polynesia Travel Review: Tahiti, Helicopter to Bora Bora, 4x4 Land Tour, Lagoons, Jet Ski, Hiking & Snorkeling, Whale Watch
This was our first trip with Zicasso! We sent in our inquiry for a trip to Tahiti/Bora Bora on a Friday afternoon. A travel designer from the travel company contacted us the same day and worked with us throughout the weekend. By Monday afternoon we had a finalized itinerary!

Planning the trip was easy. The travel designer had first hand knowledge of both places we wanted to go to and kept to our budget while helping us plan a great trip. Our trip ended up being ten days total with five nights in Bora Bora and four in Tahiti. Due to Covid restrictions and lockdowns on the islands, we ended up postponing our trip. She was very helpful in getting everything rescheduled for our new dates. During the trip, she checked in and when two of our activities were canceled due to the weather she was in contact and helped us reschedule or get a refund.

In Bora Bora, we stayed in an overwater bungalow and the views were incredible. We were able to jump directly into the ocean and snorkel around our balcony. We enjoyed a helicopter ride over Bora Bora as an introduction to the island - it was breathtaking to see the beautiful water and land from above. We did a 4x4 land tour to learn more about the history and culture of the island and the people. The lagoon tour to swim with sharks, rays, eels and many fish in the coral gardens was an amazing snorkeling experience. The jet ski tour was fun to see the water color change up close and explore around the island.

In Tahiti we had a car so we explored the island at our own pace and visited many places along the way - waterfalls, took an impromptu hike in the water gardens and just enjoyed the beautiful scenery. We ended our trip with a whale watching tour, we saw a mother and baby whale from a distance on our boat. As a bonus we saw spinner dolphins leaping from the water and a sea turtle. What a great way to end the trip! Overall we enjoyed working with the travel designer and would recommend others to plan a trip with her -  Bora Bora/Tahiti are true paradises everyone should see! Zicasso made planning our dream vacation easy, we look forward to using them again for our next vacation.
