Zicasso Trips of a Lifetime Itineraries

Wow, Zicasso's tour operator made our trip a dream! We were three friends celebrating a milestone birthday and it was our first time in Italy. We had no idea where to start in the planning process, but the tour operator guided us every step of the way and created the perfect itinerary.

Everything was thoughtfully arranged—boutique hotels, knowledgeable private drivers, and authentic local experiences. We visited Venice, Florence, Sorrento, and Naples, with memorable day trips, including a private tour of Pompeii (a must!), food tours, and wine tastings at a castle and at the foot of a volcano.

The itinerary was perfectly balanced, with one planned activity a day and time to explore on our own. You know the plan is perfect when you never have to reach out once for more information—everything just flowed.

We’d do it all again and highly recommend this tour operator for their knowledge, connections in local towns, and seamless planning for an unforgettable trip.

I had a great time on my trip. The excursions were fun, the scenery was beautiful, and the hotels I stayed in were very nice. The Zicasso tour company was great to work with. They were very responsive to any requests I had and developed a wonderful itinerary.

This was our second trip organized through Zicasso and both trips were great. In retrospect, we might have changed a few things, but by an overwhelming margin, the trip was great. Interesting tours, knowledgeable guides, nice hotels.

Zicasso’s trip planner did an excellent job. Communication and the quality of the experiences were everything we'd expected and more, especially in New Zealand. The accommodations were first rate; the highlight was the lodge in Queenstown. The guides and drivers were professional and knowledgeable, especially those in Queenstown and Auckland. We loved the dedicated website for reference, as well as the detailed booklet and maps for both countries. 

For future itineraries, I would add another day in Queenstown and a full day in Christchurch. If days were limited, I would recommend one less day in Auckland and/or skipping the drive/train from Franz Josef. 

The only complication was the day we spent 10 hours going to and coming from Milford Sound.  I recommend doing Milford Sound by plane/helicopter from Queenstown, which would also permit seeing the glaciers/southern alps from the air. The only things we missed were the zoo in Auckland and the Blue Mountain day tour in Sydney. Next trip!
