Zicasso Trips of a Lifetime Itineraries

Wow, Zicasso's tour operator made our trip a dream! We were three friends celebrating a milestone birthday and it was our first time in Italy. We had no idea where to start in the planning process, but the tour operator guided us every step of the way and created the perfect itinerary.

Everything was thoughtfully arranged—boutique hotels, knowledgeable private drivers, and authentic local experiences. We visited Venice, Florence, Sorrento, and Naples, with memorable day trips, including a private tour of Pompeii (a must!), food tours, and wine tastings at a castle and at the foot of a volcano.

The itinerary was perfectly balanced, with one planned activity a day and time to explore on our own. You know the plan is perfect when you never have to reach out once for more information—everything just flowed.

Zicasso's travel designer was extremely helpful in our trip planning process, giving us multiple suggestions for itineraries and price ranges. He listened to our ideas and shared his experiences to aid us in our final decisions. Communication during the preparation for our trip was amazing. We were very pleased with the five-star accommodations he recommended, the pace of the activities included, and the order of the destinations we visited.

We spent three days in Stellenbosch, three days in Cape Town, three days in Victoria Falls, and three days at the private game reserve in Sabi Sands. The accommodations, service, and scenery started out top-notch and seemed to get better as we went along.

It was great working with Zicasso's travel specialist, and the traveling was great, getting around to all the places. Below are the events that were cancelled on us due to the weather:

Tranz Alpine train ride - Scenic Plus to Greymouth, staying in the Rainforest Retreat, Franz Josef Twin Glacier, Kayak, and walk tour, Milford Sound/Fjordland. That's not the travel specialist's fault, but I would never go to New Zealand in October, ever again. All the roads were closed, and we ended up taking a taxi cab from Christchurch to Queenstown, and that was a rough trip due to the high winds. We should have started in Australia instead of starting in Aukland, New Zealand. That's from my experience.

Our 12-day trip to Rome, Positano, Florence, and Venice was spectacular. We aren’t experienced travelers, but the itinerary and preparations made it easy for us to navigate our trip. Zicasso's travel partner promised to make our trip unforgettable and she delivered. Even the pace of our activities was just as we had discussed during our planning meetings. It was just a wonderful experience.

We had a fantastic time and Zicasso's tour operator did an excellent job organizing every detail of our trip. Drivers and guides were always punctual, and the itinerary was perfectly balanced—full days, without ever feeling rushed.

Some real highlights for us were Herculaneum, the Pantheon, the Vatican, and our unforgettable Capri boat tour. Our guide brought Pompeii's history to life in a way that made it feel like stepping back in time and the Naples street food tour was delicious and nostalgic—her pizza fritta instantly took me back to the calzones I grew up with in Niles, Ohio. Our driver was with us for several days and made every transfer feel effortless.

There was a small hiccup at the very end with a trip planner, but it was minor compared to the overall quality of the trip. The organization, communication, and attention to detail throughout made this a truly memorable experience and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with this tour agency again. We had a fantastic time and the tour company did an excellent job organizing every detail of our trip.

The trip was perfect. We only booked everything about two to three weeks prior to our vacation. To make it more difficult, we are a family of five. Zicasso's tour company took care of everything! We didn't have to stress over any details. The hotels were better than expected and the excursions were beyond expectations.

The two highlights for our family (kids 17, 14, and 12) were the private cooking lesson and the private boat tour of Capri and the Amalfi Coast.

The cooking class with a local at her home was a night to remember. (Amazing family and the view was perfection.) Even my kids said it was perfect. We cooked, we ate, we laughed, and had a magical evening, all with the picturesque backdrop of the Amalfi Coast beneath us.

The boat ride was equally spectacular. We enjoyed the day swimming in the sea and touring all of the grottos and legends of the area. I couldn't have asked for a more relaxing way to see the sites.

The trip was a little more than I originally wanted to spend, but was well worth every penny at the end of the day. I've already forgotten the cost, but will savor the memories with my family forever. The tour company really did an excellent job of planning every detail to ensure we had an amazing time. The regular communication and check-ins provided a stress-free vacation.

Another really nice touch was the chaperone to and from the boat docks in Capri to the hotel. She was lovely and extremely helpful. Overall, I was extremely happy with the experience and would reach out to them again when traveling to Italy.
