Argentina Travel Review: Buenos Aires, Bariloche, El Calafate, Ushuaia, Tango Concert, 2-Week Tour
Hotel in Buenos Aires was excellent with very friendly and helpful.Hotel in Bariloche, El Calafate, Ushuaia were not centrally located and had limited shuttle service to the centro.Despite the fact that we had advised this travel company that we are very senior people (I am 80 years old) they scheduled this long bus ride to Puerto Natales and the time provided to us from El Calafate was in the morning but the bus is scheduled to go at 4:30pm. We cancelled and informed the travel company to book extra night at El Calafate, Flight to Ushuaia a day earlier and add a day at Ushuaia. We requested to cancel our Chile excursion and get the refund but your company failed to do it. We received a phone call from tour compay in Puerto Natales that they never received the cancellation request and had they received it a day or two earlier they could have refunded the money. Instead your company charged us additional for extending our stay in El Calafate and Ushuaia and to move the flight a day earlier.Total cost for all this, including not receiving the refund from Chile operator is estimated to be $3000.It was also very difficult to reach our representative in your office as well as the of hour emergency phone number. You charge 5 star prices but your service is worth 3 stars at best

Argentina Trip Review: Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, El Calafate, Bariloche, Mendoza, Iguazu Falls, Wildlife, Glaciers, Wine Tasting
By my standards, our trip to Argentina was complicated. Through Zicasso’s travel agency, we visited six locations (Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, El Calafate, Bariloche, Mendoza, and Iguazú), involving six flights. Overall, the trip proceeded smoothly, with only a few minor problems. I was amazed by the efficiency of the airlines, and the tours and tour guides at each stop were top-notch.

Review: South America Tour, Argentina & Chile, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Torres del Paine, Atacama, Perito Moreno Glacier Hike, Tango

I recently took a two week vacation with a friend throughout Argentina and Chile, and we booked the entire trip using this travel agency.  We are both Spanish teachers in the U.S. and we wanted to make sure we saw different parts of each country and got plenty of Spanish speaking in :)  We stayed in 5 different cities:

Night 1 - overnight flight

Nights 2 - 3 in Buenos Aires, Argentina

Nights 4 - 6 in El Calafate, Argentina

Nights 7 - 8 in Puerto Natales, Chile

Nights 9 - 10 in Santiago de Chile

Nights 11 - 13 in San Pedro de Atacama, Chile

Night 14 - overnight flight

We are so happy our agent recommended these locations for the amount of time listed.  We told him the type of vacation we were seeking, and he pulled it off even though we can be very particular about what we want at times!  We wanted to see a variety of different cities and regions across the two countries, and this was the perfect mix of adventure and culture.  Our agent booked excursions for us each of the days we were not traveling between cities.  This was actually perfect because we felt we maximized our time by waking up a little earlier than we normally would on vacation to make sure we took advantage of the opportunities and experiences!  And it allowed us to do a little relaxing and exploring on our own on the days we didn’t have excursions.

Our amazing excursions included: 1) Buenos Aires Christmas dinner experience where we at steak, drank wine, and made our own empanadas, 2) private city tour of Buenos Aires, 3) Buenos Aires tango lesson and going out after the lesson with the instructors to two local tango clubs, 4) trekking on Perito Moreno glacier, 5) cruise to visit floating icebergs and two other large glaciers in Patagonia, 6) trekking in Torres del Paine national park, 7) day trip to Valparaiso and Viña Del Mar that included stops at two vineyards, 8) trekking through Moon Valley and Death Valley in the Atacama Desert, 9) visit to geysers before sunrise, 10) visits to salt flats in the Atacama Desert.  All in all, we had amazing weather for all these excursions, I think you can only rely on luck for that!!

We were extremely impressed with how organized our trip was.  Every single time we arrived at the airport, there was someone waiting there with our names on a sign.  Every single check in at each of the 5 hotels was smooth and they always had our information and were expecting our arrival.  There was never any confusion about what type of room we needed or any other accommodations.  Transfers to and from the hotels for each excursion were always punctual, and again, the tour guides always expected us and were really friendly!  We learned so much from them.  The tour guides will speak in both English and Spanish for the tourists depending on which language you prefer.  We were really impressed with how knowledgeable they all were!  Oh and another big plus - all of our excursions were paid for ahead of time through our agent, which made it so easy!  We noticed some of the other tourists getting out and paying for each one, so it was nice to not have to worry about having cash for those!

I highly recommend this travel agency!  They even booked all of our flights, so that was TREMENDOUSLY helpful!

Luxury Argentina & Chile Trip Review: Buenos Aires, El Calafate, El Chalten, Ushuaia, Santiago, Valparaiso, Tango Lesson
Overall, our trip was excellent and we brought back home unforgettable warm memories of Argentina and Chile. Our trip included certain segments arranged through this travel company's services and other segments which we booked directly ourselves (namely, cruise and Torres Del Paine). This review covers only our travel agency's segments. We believe our travel team's services were commensurate with the price and met our expectations. We would like to thank Oxana for her effort in working with us to design the itinerary that met our requirements which included various reservations for hotels, show and tours in Buenos Aires, El Calafate, El Chalten, Ushuaia, Santiago, Valparaiso. Oxana handled our requests timely and with professionalism and good sense of customer care.  We also would like to mention specifically Patricia who was punctual, answered promptly our phone calls and messages via Trip Plans app and resolved all our inquiries to our satisfaction. All four of us agreed that the best local guide (by far!) throughout the entire trip organized by our travel company was our Santiago city tour guide – flexible, knowledgeable, informative, helpful and we could not have had a better experience, especially on the last day of our trip. The availability of the travel agency's technology – having our itinerary available online and in PDF form, and also in the Trip Plans app – was helpful in providing a smooth and enjoyable travel experience, including real-time updates for each day. We felt well connected to our travel team and local providers throughout the entire trip. One area of recommendation is obtaining more details / specifics from the local operators / tour guides on the content of the suggested tours. This is particularly important for private tour small group, like ourselves, who are willing to pay higher price for innovative and inventive ideas / itinerary items. Many of the descriptions in our itinerary were either too generic or standard and repeated what one can read on other tour aggregator websites. We are satisfied with the services provided by this travel company and we would not hesitate to provide positive referrals for them to others.

Review: South America Tour, Argentina & Chile, Santiago, Mendoza, Buenos Aires, Torres del Paine, El Calafate, Atacama Desert

This agency arranged a wonderful trip for us to Argentina and Chile (Buenos Aires, Mendoza, El Calafate, Torres del Paine, Santiago and San Pedro de Atacama).  The itinerary was prepared with our input and budget considerations though a very easy interactive process with their team. The accommodations and tours were as promised and we had a wonderful vacation that included city tours, wine tasting and some more adventurous outings in Patagonia and the Atacama Desert.  I can certainly recommend them for your travel needs without any hesitation.  A big thanks to our travel planners and the rest of the travel team.

Review: Argentina Vacation, Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Calafate, Perito Moreno Glacier

My wife and I just returned from a 13 day argentina tour to Buenos Aires, calafate, Iguazú and Mendoza and we are so sad it’s over. This travel agent's team were exquisite hosts. We had 4 different destinations and at each location we were greeted by members of the team with our name on a sign. Our bilingual guides in Buenos Aires, calafate, Iguazú and Mendoza were all extremely friendly ran through the itinerary upon pick up at the airport and were always on time for all excursion pick ups. They each have their personal recommendations for places to eat in the relevant towns and we must say they were all excellent choices.

Our accommodations were all conveniently located and of high quality especially the hotel in calafate. The view of the bay and the morning breakfast deserves special mention.

All of our tours, Buenos Aires city tour- excellent and set the mood for our days at leisure knowing exactly what to do, Perito Moreno, two Iguazú tours (Argentina and Brazil side of the falls) and Mendoza three wine tours were all excellent and we wouldn’t have changed any of it.

The only factor I would change would be our flight time from calafate to Iguazú. We left calafate at 2pm and arrived in Iguazú around 10pm leaving little option for dinner. It may have been better to leave earlier in the morning to facilitate an earlier arrival in Iguazú.
