Review: Argentina Vacation, Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Calafate, Perito Moreno Glacier

My wife and I just returned from a 13 day argentina tour to Buenos Aires, calafate, Iguazú and Mendoza and we are so sad it’s over. This travel agent's team were exquisite hosts. We had 4 different destinations and at each location we were greeted by members of the team with our name on a sign. Our bilingual guides in Buenos Aires, calafate, Iguazú and Mendoza were all extremely friendly ran through the itinerary upon pick up at the airport and were always on time for all excursion pick ups. They each have their personal recommendations for places to eat in the relevant towns and we must say they were all excellent choices.

Our accommodations were all conveniently located and of high quality especially the hotel in calafate. The view of the bay and the morning breakfast deserves special mention.

All of our tours, Buenos Aires city tour- excellent and set the mood for our days at leisure knowing exactly what to do, Perito Moreno, two Iguazú tours (Argentina and Brazil side of the falls) and Mendoza three wine tours were all excellent and we wouldn’t have changed any of it.

The only factor I would change would be our flight time from calafate to Iguazú. We left calafate at 2pm and arrived in Iguazú around 10pm leaving little option for dinner. It may have been better to leave earlier in the morning to facilitate an earlier arrival in Iguazú.

Argentina & Chile Travel Review: Valparaiso, Casablanca Valley Wineries, Puntas Arenas, Perito Moreno Glacier, Iguazu Falls

Our trip started on November 7, 19 with our first stop at Santiago del Chile.  Our guide (from a local agency) spent two wonderful days with us. Even though our visit at Valparaiso had to be cancelled due to some street riots, the travel specialist has secured a visit at a winery in Casablanca Valley, as well as a winery where we had a tour, vine testing and a very good lunch.

Our next stop was at Puntas Arenas, from which a minivan had taken us to the Hotel in the Las Torres Del Paine .  The hotel and the staff were wonderful, very attentive and provided all services with big smiles.  Our first hike to Las Torres took us a whole day but what a view we did experience ... we will never forget the Las Torres view and excellent guides hotel had provided.

From Las Torres the minivan had taken us to El Calafate where next morning we were met by our guide - a wonderful lady, very experience and knowledgable tourist guide - we highly recommend her services. We spent a day visiting Glaciar Perito Moreno.  We spent two night at a Boutique Hotel, a very classy yet modern hotel.

From El Calafate we took a short flight to Ushuaia, where we stayed at a hotel.  Our trip to see the penguins and other water animals was very well organized (the captain of the boat could wear a more professional cloths but then he was a captain......).

From Ushuaia we traveled to Iguazu via Buenos Aires.  The Suites Hotel was spectacular; it was situated literary in the middle of jungle with lavish green vegetation in front of our balcony.  The Iquazu Falls are impossible to describe, one needs to see them from both Argentinian and Brazilian sides. Our private guide was superb - extremely intelligent, knowledgable, resourceful and very helpful - we highly recommend his services.

Our last stop was at Buenos Aires where we met our guide, a very educated city guide.  We had a wonderful time with her and  highly recommend her services as well.  The Tango Show was superb, not to mentioned a very tasteful meal.

We, Peter and I have planed this trip for a long time and with your help it was the trip we will never forget.

In Buenos Aires we met with our travel planner from this travel company; she was interested in our comments and suggestions with regards to provided itinerary. It is always better to provide more details rather than less or information which is  not quantifiable.  For example: "At appropriate time."..... rather than around 3 pm the van (it is important also to specify what van?) will pick you up from the airport.  This example is for the Puntas Arenas airport where nobody was waiting for us......

Overall, our trip was fantastic and we will always remember it.  Thank you for making it happen.

I have already reached out to your office for the itinerary for our next trip to Japan in September 2020.

Argentina & Chile Trip Review: Iguazu Falls, El Calafate, El Chalten, Ushuaia, Santiago, Torres del Paine, Laguna de los Tres Hike
We have recently finished a 19 day trip to Patagonia (Chile & Argentina) and Iguazu falls. Ezequiel helped us customize our trip. Pia, our destination host was extremely wonderful, responsive and available at anytime. Most of the local tour operators were good except transportation from Ushuaia airport to the hotel in a dirty old taxi. We have a mixed reviews of the hotels especially the hotel in Torres del Paine, all inclusive program which was not worth it. Food, excursions, attitudes of the staffs and some guides, customer service were below our expectation.  We like the Santiago hotel, the hotel in El Calafate and the hotel in El Chalten. We enjoyed the Trek to see Perito Moreno Glacier (amazing!), the Trekking & Canoeing, Off-roading in Ushuaia, the great adventure with the boat ride under the waterfalls. All of the tour guides were outstanding!Thank you to our travel team for the amazing trip!

Luxury Travel Review: Argentina & Brazil, Iguazu Falls, Mendoza, El Calafate, Buenos Aires, Perito Moreno Glacier, Fine Dining

We had a very good experience with the tour company. The tour designer was very easy to work with and a good communicator. The process to narrow down the trip itinerary was very efficient. Booking the trip was easy.

As for the trip, we were very happy with our choices of destinations. We enjoyed all the natural attractions- Iguazu Falls, Mendoza, Calafate and Buenos Aires. The falls and the glaciers were amazing to see.

The guides were very good. We particularly liked a guide who showed us the Brazilian side of the falls and a guide who did a great job for us in Mendoza.

The guides were very good. We were disappointed in the amenities at some of the hotels, for example, a hotel website indicated there would be coffee making ability in the rooms, but there was not. When I asked for a coffeemaker in the room, they said no even after I referenced their website.

Overall, the beauty of the destinations made this one of our best vacations.

Review of Argentina 3 Week Tour, Puerto Iguazu, Buenos Aires, Cafayate, Calchaqui Valley, Purmamarca, Mendoza Salta Region

Through Zicasso, we were connected to the travel company, a Buenos Aires-based travel group, which is excellent, and which we highly recommend. We worked with the trip planner, on every aspect of our trip. She is outstanding; one could not ask for a better, more knowledgeable, more service-oriented, more responsive and accessible person with whom to plan and execute a trip. Working with the trip planner was a delight!

Ours' was a private tour for two; we traveled through Argentina from Nov. 1--Nov. 26, with a goal of seeing as much of the country as we could in just under a month. Our itinerary took us to very different parts of Argentina: Buenos Aires (2 days at the start and 2 days at the finish); Puerto Iguazu and Iguazu Falls; Salta; Cafayate and Cachi (the Calchaqui Valley Circuit); the Salta Salt Flats; Purmamarca; Tilcara; Humachuaca; Bariloche; El Calafate; and Ushuaia.

The arrangements made for us met and/or exceeded our expectations--4-star hotels; internal flights on Aerolineas Argentina; tours; guides; drivers; airport/hotel transfers, etc. On one occasion we had a problem with a (driving) transfer from one location to another, the travel company addressed it immediately, securing a refund for the day. On our flight from Salta to Bariloche (connecting through Cordoba), the plane could not land in Cordoba because of weather; it landed instead in Neuquén, which has no direct service to Bariloche. The only way the airline could get us to Bariloche was to fly us to Buenos Aires, then the next day to Bariloche (crisscrossing the country twice and losing two days in Bariloche). We reached out to the travel company; within a short time, the trip planner secured a car and driver to take us to Barioloche, a 5.5-hour drive with stunning scenery along the way, so our trip could stay on schedule. This is the level of service we experienced with the travel company.

Travel Agent Review, Argentina, Chile & Brazil, Buenos Aires, Iguazu Falls, Ushuaia, El Chalten, Glacier Hiking, Wildlife

We were extremely impressed with the itinerary that the travel company put together for us. The coordination of activities and transportation transfers was seamless and efficient. The guides assigned to our tours and activities were extremely informative and helpful, making every experience fun, easy, and informative. When traveling in the past we typically made all of our own arrangements and plans and shied away from formal planning by travel agencies, preferring to do our own thing. But this experience will have an influence on future travel planning, especially when traveling to a new destination, as the schedule put together by the travel company made everything so much easier and relaxing. The tour guides assigned to us in Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, and Iguazu were wonderful and made these amazingly beautiful destinations even more fantastic.
