~~I retired and my wife and I decided it was time to take the trip to New Zealand and Australia that we had been talking about for quite some time. I discovered Zicasso while doing my initial research for the trip and decided to give it a try, in addition to the many standard tours we were looking into. I had many different firms provide proposals and after doing my due diligence I settled on this firm.
Our agent listened and consistently provided options and insights that resulted in a month long itinerary that promised to deliver the experiences we were looking for. She was a pleasure to deal with.
We spent two weeks in New Zealand beginning in Auckland, moving south through Hobbiton and Rotorua where we gained a deep appreciation for the Maori people and their culture. Then on to Wellington the capital. The ferry to Picton and the train to Christchurch were inspiring. Then we drove from Christchurch to Mt. Cook and then on to Queenstown. The night we spent on Doubtful Sound was the all-around highlight of the trip. All throughout the tour guides, drivers and accommodations exceeded expectations. Then we were on to Australia where our first stop was Sydney. Alongside the Opera House and the Harbor Bridge a highlight was a half day guided tour of the city in a 1964 Holden. Then we were on to Cairns and Port Douglas where the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest awaited. Our day on the Reef was extraordinary. Snorkeling off the beach at Low Isle was an experience to remember. Our day on the Daintree River and in the rainforest was unforgettable. While driving we stopped as a male cassowary and four chicks crossed the road and disappeared into to the bush. Now we were on to Ayers Rock where the magic of Uluru awaited. The Sounds of Silence dinner in the desert as the sun set with Uluru in the distance and didgeridoo in the background was magical. As our time was growing short we were off to Melbourne where we joined a tour on the Great Ocean Road. Wow, the Twelve Apostles and the coast exceeded our expectations. What a great place. Only matched, maybe outdone by the hosts of the B&B’s we stayed at. We’re not big B&B folks, but the Lock Ard and Little River B&Bs were perfect and we will try more in the future.
Our agent had truly delivered a trip of a lifetime.

Zicasso's travel partner organized an outstanding 17-day tour of Melbourne, Port Douglas, Sydney, Queenstown, and Auckland for our family of five to enjoy diving, snorkeling, kayaking, rafting, and hiking.
Even when there were last-minute issues in Port Douglas due to the cyclone, they responded quickly and reorganized our itinerary to work around the Daintree Rainforest closure. I highly recommend her as a knowledgeable, responsive, and detail-oriented travel agent.

We had a wonderful holiday in Australia. My requirements were a) Uluru b) Dive in Great Barrier Reef (GBR) c) See koalas in the wild and d) the Daintree Forest.
Our travel agent helped us with finding the fantastic accommodation for us in Daintree and GBR and arranging all the land transport. It was unfortunate that we went to Australia in June when Southern Ocean Lodge in Kangaroo Island (KI) was closed for renovations but I found alternative accommodation in KI and our agent organised and wonderful local tour for us and also helped us find great food for dinner. The touring company Exceptional KI that she introduced was extremely professional too and the guide went beyond the call of duty to help us find a drone that went missing and even couriered it to us at our last stop in Lizard Island. (Choosing a resort in GBR was tough as there are so many good ones to choose from but I really do feel Lizard is the best! )
Very grateful to our travel agent for accommodating too our very many last minute changes when my sister and her family decided to join us for part of the trip. And I added in an extra stop to see my cousin in Adelaide. I was a bit apprehensive about so many last minute changes but she took it all in her stride and executed it flawlessly. Also loved the beautiful book they did for us of the places we visited.
Thank you to our agent and her company for the wonderful holiday.

We booked a trip to Australia and New Zealand for the first three weeks on January 2017 using this travel agency to coordinate our trip. I spoke with our agent who assured me and made recommendations based on my specific places to visit. She also made suggestions on places that she felt were "must see" venues!. We visited Sydney ( city tour plus Blue Mountain Tour). Carin's, Port Douglas (GBR, Daintree Rain Forest, Cape Tribulation) and Melbourne (walk about with koalas and kangaroo in there natural habitat while in AZ and Qweenstown (Miford sound), Mount Cook (glacier boat ride), ChristChurch (Akaroa Harbour tours and boat trip to view dolphins ), Rotoura (Geothermal tour plus lakes tour as well as Spellbound Glowworm and Caves tours), and finally Auckland. The hotels varied from upscale hotels, boutique venues and one B&B. They try to secure hotel locations were the action is close to major sites in the city. Breakfast was included at each hotel and the food was good!. There was only one hotel that I did not care for the accommodations but the location was great. We received a total package from our agent prior to the vacations launch as well as receiving a voucher packet with all hotel, shuttles to and from the airports, and tour pick ups at the hotels in each country. Every pick up and tour started and left just as planned. There was not one glitch the entire trip with all the flights, pickups or tours that were selected!. The boutique tours were great since we had 4-8 people only which made them much more intimate with experienced guides. I give them a 5-star rating for coordinating and verifying all the arrangements.

I really thought the Zicasso travel partner was fabulous and so thorough and easy to use. I would rate it the best travel app. It had my itinerary down to the minute detail, info on how to contact various people if there were any questions, and was so easy to navigate. I would rate my trip to Australia my favorite so far. I recently went to Japan through a different travel agent and was able to compare the difference. Our travel team was so much better!
My husband and I went to Australia to drop off my daughter, who was doing an exchange study in Sydney. We started in Melbourne and had a full-day tour to Phillip Island, with a moonlit animal sanctuary and penguins. I would recommend the penguins. I saw thousands of penguins. What an experience! I did not like the sanctuary part. Tickets were sold out for the koala petting and there were not very many animals to see. I have heard there are other sanctuaries/zoos in other parts of Australia that are much better.
The Melbourne food tour was fantastic! Our tour guide did a wonderful job of explaining Melbourne's history with the food. We flew to Cairns, to Port Douglas, and had two excursions: a boat ride with snorkeling in the Great Reef Barrier and a Daintree safari. The full-day cruise with snorkeling was wonderful, with so much food! The Daintree tour was a bit long and could have been condensed into half the time. I probably would not recommend that tour.
Finally, we went to Sydney to drop off my daughter. We did the bridge walk, which was fantastic. Each person was so well protected and the safety checks were top-notch!
Our trip went without any problems and our drivers were well-coordinated and on schedule. I would use this company for future trips to Australia. I plan to visit New Zealand and would use them again.

Our agent with this travel company helped my father, sister, and me plan a two-week trip to Australia in April 2016. Our final itinerary consisted of 4 nights in Melbourne, 2 nights in Uluru, 4 nights in Port Douglas, and 2 nights in Sydney. Our main interest was exploring Australia's wildlife and natural beauty, and our agent worked with us via email and phone conversation to tailor our tours to our interest. Our agent was responsive to our emails and requests during the trip planning process and did a good job of sticking to our desired budget. Several weeks before our departure date, our agent held a helpful video conference with my sister and me to review our trip details and answer any questions we had.
Overall, we very much enjoyed the trip itself. We found the pace of the itinerary to be exactly what we wanted, neither too rigorous nor too slow. From a logistical perspective, our transfers were all on-time and we checked into all of our hotels without any problems. We particularly liked the hotel in Melbourne as well as the hotel in Sydney. The hotel in Uluru was fine, whereas the Villa in Port Douglas left much to be desired (ants in the bed, cockroaches in the kitchen, dirty floors).
The tour companies were very professional, and for the most part, high quality and worthwhile. We particularly enjoyed the Field of Lights display in Uluru, Daintree 4WD tour, Skyrail and Kuranda Scenic Rail tour, and the Penguin tour on Philip Island. The culture walk in Melbourne was enjoyable but less interesting as it did not align as well with our interests in wildlife and nature. The Sydney Tour was our least favorite; the tour guide was very condescending and the entire feel of the tour was similar to a hop-on-hop-off bus tour with mostly drive-by views of city sites.
Our main complaint with our agent is his lack of attention to details. Leading up to the trip, there were multiple instances in the planning process when he made small errors that made us worry. For example, his invoice amount was incorrect several times; he scheduled our video conference for the wrong date/time; I had to remind him to reserve pre-assigned seats for our domestic flights. We had one major incident on our trip that was also partly due to our agent's lack of meticulousness. For our snorkeling tour of the Great Barrier Reef, we were told as we were checking in that they had our reservation booked for 2 people, not 3 people. The representative checking us in was incredibly rude and unaccommodating, refusing to help us find a solution while stating that we could neither receive a refund nor pay to add a third person. Our father decided to stay behind and allow my sister and me to go on the tour. At the last minute, the captain allowed my father to join, but the morning incident ruined the whole day for us. It turned out that there had been a mix-up between our agent and the tour company such that we had paid for 3 people but our booking was recorded as 2 people. Although the fault lay mainly with the tour company, our agent also failed to catch the error in the confirmation sent to him by the tour company. I do appreciate though that our agent helped us coordinate with the tour company to receive a full refund for the tour.
Overall, my family and I had a wonderful time on our trip to Australia and made some fantastic memories. Most of the tours were very much to our liking and aligned with our interest in exploring the natural beauty of Australia. The snorkel tour incident was the biggest disappointment during the trip, but luckily, the incident was resolved professionally and it did not ruin the entire trip for us.
