Detailed Description
Your ideas of a dream honeymoon may include many different images. There are the classical tones of being alone on a remote white-sand island filled with indulgence, or dining at restaurants that always leave an impression. Reverie can also involve the adventure of exploring surreal landscapes that always imbue a sense of once-in-a-lifetime. Australia and New Zealand provide a unique honeymoon destination as they seamlessly combine all these paradigms. Over 18 days, explore six perfect destinations, each with an inspiring backdrop that's incomparable to the last. Journey to iconic cities, tropical getaways, the red desert, white fjords, and the green charms of rural New Zealand.
Sydney provides an indulgent starting point, a city that's always celebrated exclusivity and luxurious experiences. Dine at the country's premier restaurant and experience urban life, then days later you will wander hand in hand through the eucalyptus forests of the Blue Mountains. Then travel into the heart of the desert to watch the sunset over Uluru (Ayer's Rock) and take a camel train to the majestic domes of Kata Tjuta. Lizard Island provides a new landscape, a small tropical outpost that's part of the Great Barrier Reef chain. Quiet white beaches dot the island with incredible opportunity to swim out to explore the marine world. Much like the other destinations on this trip, Lizard Island offers absolute privacy combined with a sense of adventure.
Continue to New Zealand's culinary hub, Canterbury, where a private cooking lesson introduces you to the atmosphere and flavors of a country. Spend several nights in Queenstown, on the South Island and a tranquil landscape of rugged mountains and alpine lakes. Amongst the excursions is a private helicopter charter to take you across the Fjordlands to land at a remote plateau that rarely ever sees people. Exquisitely green and gazing out onto the Marlborough Sounds, Nelson provides the final stop. Like each of the destinations on the honeymoon, combine luxury accommodation with unique activities and the privacy that all romantic celebrations deserve.

~~I retired and my wife and I decided it was time to take the trip to New Zealand and Australia that we had been talking about for quite some time. I discovered Zicasso while doing my initial research for the trip and decided to give it a try, in addition to the many standard tours we were looking into. I had many different firms provide proposals and after doing my due diligence I settled on this firm.
Our agent listened and consistently provided options and insights that resulted in a month long itinerary that promised to deliver the experiences we were looking for. She was a pleasure to deal with.
We spent two weeks in New Zealand beginning in Auckland, moving south through Hobbiton and Rotorua where we gained a deep appreciation for the Maori people and their culture. Then on to Wellington the capital. The ferry to Picton and the train to Christchurch were inspiring. Then we drove from Christchurch to Mt. Cook and then on to Queenstown. The night we spent on Doubtful Sound was the all-around highlight of the trip. All throughout the tour guides, drivers and accommodations exceeded expectations. Then we were on to Australia where our first stop was Sydney. Alongside the Opera House and the Harbor Bridge a highlight was a half day guided tour of the city in a 1964 Holden. Then we were on to Cairns and Port Douglas where the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest awaited. Our day on the Reef was extraordinary. Snorkeling off the beach at Low Isle was an experience to remember. Our day on the Daintree River and in the rainforest was unforgettable. While driving we stopped as a male cassowary and four chicks crossed the road and disappeared into to the bush. Now we were on to Ayers Rock where the magic of Uluru awaited. The Sounds of Silence dinner in the desert as the sun set with Uluru in the distance and didgeridoo in the background was magical. As our time was growing short we were off to Melbourne where we joined a tour on the Great Ocean Road. Wow, the Twelve Apostles and the coast exceeded our expectations. What a great place. Only matched, maybe outdone by the hosts of the B&B’s we stayed at. We’re not big B&B folks, but the Lock Ard and Little River B&Bs were perfect and we will try more in the future.
Our agent had truly delivered a trip of a lifetime.

We had a wonderful holiday in Australia. My requirements were a) Uluru b) Dive in Great Barrier Reef (GBR) c) See koalas in the wild and d) the Daintree Forest.
Our travel agent helped us with finding the fantastic accommodation for us in Daintree and GBR and arranging all the land transport. It was unfortunate that we went to Australia in June when Southern Ocean Lodge in Kangaroo Island (KI) was closed for renovations but I found alternative accommodation in KI and our agent organised and wonderful local tour for us and also helped us find great food for dinner. The touring company Exceptional KI that she introduced was extremely professional too and the guide went beyond the call of duty to help us find a drone that went missing and even couriered it to us at our last stop in Lizard Island. (Choosing a resort in GBR was tough as there are so many good ones to choose from but I really do feel Lizard is the best! )
Very grateful to our travel agent for accommodating too our very many last minute changes when my sister and her family decided to join us for part of the trip. And I added in an extra stop to see my cousin in Adelaide. I was a bit apprehensive about so many last minute changes but she took it all in her stride and executed it flawlessly. Also loved the beautiful book they did for us of the places we visited.
Thank you to our agent and her company for the wonderful holiday.

My husband and I recently took a trip to Australia that included Sydney, Palm Cove (snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef) and Uluru.
From the moment I contacted our Australia travel specialist she was very helpful and attentive. All three lodgings she booked for our stay were great. The Sheraton on the Park in Sydney was the perfect location. The Reef House Palm Cove was so charming and we had some of our best dinners there. Voyages Sails in The Desert was a great place to return to after hiking in Uluru.
We definitely plan to return to Australia and when we do I will definitely have our travel specialist help us with our plans.

Our travel agent was excellent. We booked a 23 day trip during the Christmas and New Years holidays only a few short months before we were leaving so the logistics were difficult to say the least. Our travel company did a wonderful job in planning dozens of activities throughout Australia and New Zealand and it was all very well organized. We like adventure and we had some of the best adventures ever thanks to the recommendations of our travel agent. A dream trip that exceeded our expectations. Thanks so much!
Sydney was great! The Harbor Bridge Climb was so much fun as well as the tour of the opera house.
Our Uluru resort was the jewel of the trip. Very unexpectedly spectacular. The accommodations were unbelievable – wonderful spot and tremendous views. We enjoyed all the activities. A grand slam home run. The amount of time there was perfect and we were ready to move on when our time was up. The kids skydived in Uluru and loved it. Highly recommend it as it only took 45 minutes from start to finish and they land right next to the resort, so super convenient.
Port Douglas was fun. The private boat trip to Barrier Reef was awesome and we highly recommend. The snorkeling was fun. The spear fishing was also an adventure.
Hamilton Island was great. The Whitsundays were spectacular and Whitehaven beach was a treat. The hotel was a bit large and busy for our taste, but we understand that we didn’t have a lot of options given we booked so close to the trip. The Beach Club Christmas brunch was spectacular!! What a view!! The Koala visit was a huge hit with all. We hiked on many of the trails and really enjoyed Hamilton Island.
New Zealand was super fun as well. We loved the Franz Josef heli hike – definitely a highlight of the tour and we all thought worth the travel time to get there. The resort was very nice. We explored on our own and walked to the mining tunnel and hiked through it and saw glow worms.
Queenstown was also so much fun. Wine tasting was a wonderful afternoon. Kids Bunge jumped off the bridge near Arrow Town and had a blast. Arrow Town is also a cute spot to have lunch. The Shotover boat ride was so much fun. The flight to Milford Sound and cruise was spectacular.
We had pouring rain in Auckland, but still got out. Th hotel was nice and in a great location to get around. It would have been nice to have a pool, which we had not really considered until in rained for 3 days!

We just returned from the most amazing trip to Australia and Fiji over a three week period that cover Melbourne, the Great Ocean Drive to Port Campbell, the Penguin parade at Phillip's Island, Uluru in Ayers Rock, The Silky Oaks Lodge in Mossman Gourge, Great Barrier Reef from Port Douglas, and Sydney. I can not say enough good things about our travel agent with this company, who is Australian. When I told our agent we didn't want to "just see" Australia - we wanted to "do" Australia - she got me and "do" we did. We traveled with another couple so she was flexible to change our travel flights and tours as our "hot buttons" were discovered in the planning process. Our trip was packed full of activities yet left room to relax and enjoy the fabulous hotels she booked for us. Our favorite with the Silky Oaks Lodge which is literally built in the trees of the rainforest with the sounds of the babbling river below coming through out windows. It was the best "sound machine" ever for sleeping. We stayed at Mantangi Island in Fiji, a private island that is adult only and first class. It was full of honeymooners and offered beautiful snorkeling and other activities daily. Our burre (room) was gorgeous and the food was excellent and greatly varied with different menus daily. I highly recommend this resort where the staff and accommodations are excellent. I actually cried to say goodbye to our Fiji friends as we left. I had visited Australia 13 years ago and thought that trip was great but it didn't hold a candle to the sights and tours we enjoyed this trip. Well done and thank you for making our "retirement" trip extra special.
