First, we want to say that our trip to Belize was exactly what we were hoping for! We reached out to Zicasso for help planning our honeymoon to Belize and were matched up with the travel agent at the travvel company. We had envisioned a beach honeymoon that included relaxing on the beach but also scuba diving multiple times during the week. We are also foodies and love to experience a countries cuisine via private dinners or cooking classes wherever we travel. Our agent heard all of our requests and brought it to life for us. It was a perfect combination of romantic and relaxing, while also being fun and adventurous at times. We spent 7 days total in Belize. The first portion was spent on a private island resort close to Dangriga. We could only utilize a boat to get on and off the island. We had one day of diving and the rest of the time was spent relaxing on the beach, drinking fruity drinks, and eating delicious food. The resort was very welcoming and accommodating. Our final night on the island included a private dinner with the head chef of the resort. That was certainly a highlight of the trip! This first leg of our trip was truly incredible and forced us to unwind and really detach ourselves from our hectic home lives and enjoy the moment in time that we had on this beautiful Caye. The second portion of the trip was spent on Ambergris Caye at another 5 star resort just outside of bustling San Pedro. We stayed in a beach front cabana. Having our front door open up to the sandy beach, with the ocean steps from our front door was breathtaking! The food and service at the resort were top notch and the diving excursions we had were something we will not ever forget. Throughout the trip the travel company was just an email or phone call away. They checked in on us throughout the vacation making sure everything was going smoothly. We constantly felt taken care of and that our happiness and satisfaction with our trip/experience were the most important thing to this travel agency. We cannot recommend the travel agent and her affiliates enough if you are planning a trip to Belize. Everything service related (both by the agency and the resorts) was impeccable and executed seamlessly and took any and all travel related stress away. When we go back to Belize we will be using the travel agency again! Thank you so much for the amazing honeymoon and the fantastic memories we created while in Belize.

The trip to Belize was absolutely fantastic! We had an amazing time exploring Barton Creek Cave, Caracol, and Big Rock Falls at our first resort at the Blancaneaux Lodge. I highly recommend paying the extra money to book a flight to San Ignacio, Maya Flats, and having the shorter drive of 45 min - 1 hour instead of the long drive from Belize City to Blancaneaux Lodge which is 2 1/2 hours. The drive from the airport to the resort was a very hard drive due to the road being so rocky and not what you want to do after travelling for 8 hours.
Our second stop was at Victoria House on Ambergris Caye, this place was absolutely amazing as well. The food was fantastic at Blancaneaux Lodge and Victoria House! The people of Belize are so friendly and helpful and did not make you feel unsafe at all.
Our travel agency helped us book a flight from San Ignacio to San Pedro and were very receptive to emails/calls while we were in Belize. They are absolutely fantastic to work with and I would love to work with them in the future!
Your overall comments on Zicasso
I found out about zicasso through a google search because I was very unhappy with a local travel agent in Raleigh. Zicasso service was very helpful with travel agents that know the area best that you are visiting!

Wonderful trip to Guatemala! This tour company was incredibly professional and planned a perfect vacation for us. The personalized itinerary fitted our needs and desires exactly and the guides they provided were the best we have ever had. The hotels in Antigua, Lake Atitlan and Tikal were all outstanding. They were so prompt in replying to our questions and everything went seamlessly.

Our Zicasso tour operator's suggestions and planning for my first trip to Belize were beyond amazing and outstanding, especially given the short amount of time given for planning and then our requested change of dates about a month before flying. Together, we put together a land package that included the Mayan ruins and cave tubing.
The private transportation driver who took us to the mountain was patient in waiting for our delayed flight and knowledgeable in pointing out areas of interest on the two-hour trip.
We stayed at a hotel which was quaint, clean, and beautiful. The staff were completely service-driven. Our driver/guide for the Mayan ruins and cave tubing was extremely polite and so knowledgeable. We loved him! Cave tubing is way too much fun and I am looking forward to going back to do it again. Our travel agent added an unexpected and welcomed tour through an iguana conservation project located at the hotel.
The small plane/flight to Ambergris Caye was easy and gave great views. The inn right on the beach was cute, quaint, and small. It was in a great location to get away from the business of San Pedro by walking along the beachside or getting into the hustle/bustle of the town by walking one block.
We took two snorkel excursions on which both crews were extremely knowledgeable, polite, and very nice. One had us going out on a sailboat, which was a pleasant surprise.
We were able to rent a golf cart directly through the hotel, whose staff were kind and provided exceptional customer service, to travel to Secret Beach.
One minor thing was being on the second floor of the hotel instead of the ground floor, but we completely understand that we were probably lucky to have even got a room there due to our late changes.
We are more than excited about planning a trip to go back next year!

We absolutely loved Belize and how our Zicasso travel planner organized the trip.
Our room at the first resort was lovely (not our favorite though). Housekeeping did a great job. They brought us coffee each morning at 7am per our request. The service was also quite good. We had breakfast each day and it was delicious. We only had dinner our first night and it was also quite good. The wait time for the food was pretty slow though.
Our boat tour to Hol Chan was magic! I felt like I was in an underwater Disney movie. The crew of the boat were wonderful. Our guide waited on us hand and foot and was a great snorkeling guide.
Our lodge in the Maya Mountains was absolutely gorgeous! We loved the casita, but did not care for how dark it was in the main room and the bathroom. We had to use flashlights to peruse our luggage to dress and trying to apply makeup was a nightmare. Also, due to the lack of air conditioning, the room was very musty. Thus, sinking into your pillow after a long day was a bit off-putting due to the smell. The staff at this lodge were 150% over the top with customer care. If I could give each and every person employed here 10 stars, I would.
We liked the tours during this portion of the trip as well. The ATM cave guides were awesome!! I would highly encourage you to request them for all of your clients.
I was not over the moon about the food at the lodge. I was under the impression breakfast was included, but it was only a continental breakfast which consisted of approximately three tablespoons of plain yogurt, two tablespoons of granola, some fruit, and a hard-boiled egg. So while I'm sure it must have been a misunderstanding on my part, it was a bit disappointing. Having said that, the other breakfast offerings were fantastic!
On a good note, the produce was excellent since it is grown there, but the proteins were very tasteless and always overcooked. From chicken on a salad or wrap at lunch to lamb and lomito, the food was literally always overcooked, even though they asked for your temperature preference.
Having said that, overall, the lodge was fantastic and you could not ask for better staff or customer care.
The resort in Placencia was a great way to finish the trip. The service was great and we were treated like friends of the family, which we loved. It was such a special place, with a wonderful vibe and community of employees. The snorkeling was amazing. Our guides knocked it out of the park in regard to all water/boating activities. The servers and bartenders at the restaurant were so funny, and over-the-top accommodating! The food was very good. We liked our room a lot, but there were a few issues with it. Housekeeping was basically non-existent. I totally understand that due to all of the birds/sea birds that poop happens, but our deck area by the plunge pool would be peppered with poop and not once did anyone clean it off. Here too, the lighting in the bathroom was really bad. I'm not looking for mood lighting in a bathroom. Ha! One of the windows would not shut completely either. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable of the three resorts though. We loved our plunge pool and spent so much time just relaxing, watching the ocean, and being together. I don't know if I would recommend this place to families with children under 14 though.
Lastly, our agent’s attention to detail and prompt replies to my questions/concerns were wonderful. You did a fantastic job and I truly appreciate the work you put in to make this another fantastic anniversary trip!
We discussed the possibility of visiting Antigua Guatemala and then returning to our last resort on a future trip. Next August, we head to Kenya and Zanzibar for our 10th, but after that, this could be possible.
Out of all of our travels, I love the food and service we have always been provided in Central America. Well, except for Costa Rica (the food is very bland haha)!
