Detailed Description
Galapagos wildlife always makes for unforgettable vacation scenes; your children walking past sea lions on the beach, penguins diving past the boat, giant tortoises filling the walking trail. There's something endearing and evocative to find everywhere in this archipelago, from bright red sandy beaches to gargantuan land iguanas. Such extraordinary wildlife is adept at keeping kids entertained. As are the expert Galapagos guides, who run tailored children's activities that reveal the natural history and evolution of this remarkable archipelago. Consider learning more about your skilled Galapagos tour operators who strive to produce a spectacular once in a lifetime exploration of the Galapagos for you and your family. This isn't a zoo experience. And it isn't just a glimpse of a few animals. For eight days, you enjoy intimate encounters with a dozen iconic species, often getting within two meters of the flamboyant wildlife.
This kid-friendly Galapagos Islands tour combines four days of relaxed land exploration on Santa Cruz Island with four nights of luxury cruising. Excursions and activities are flexible, ensuring there's always a choice about what to do and which Galapagos angle to enjoy. An oceanfront lodge on Santa Cruz is your base for the start of the trip. From here, you can enjoy unguided trips to beaches speckled with sea lions, research stations filled with tortoises, and volcanic cliffs home to iguanas and seabirds. One privately guided day trip explores the outer reaches of the island, bringing stunning encounters with mass colonies and the eclectic variety of Galapagos habitats. Interconnecting suites provide lingering ocean views, and the itinerary is fully inclusive of all meals.
Then the 4-night cruise takes you to some of the archipelago's most revered sites, locations that epitomize the hypnotic life in this isolated wilderness. Walk over ancient lava flows, visit the breeding ground of over a million birds, spot penguins diving from cliffs, and relax on pristine soft-sand beaches. There's marine exploration at each site, and you can choose to ride in a glass-bottom boat, swim from sandy shores, or go on a guided snorkel, with specialist snorkeling life jackets if required. Interconnecting cabins provide the accommodation while the boat's 90-capacity size enables it to offer tailored activities for the children, like wildlife photography and animal tracking. With multiple social areas, there's always a quiet place onboard for your family to enjoy.
Before the Galapagos, you spend two nights in the capital city Quito, a relaxed introduction to the country. A private guide arranges flexible excursions, including the recommended teleferico ride to the upper slopes of Pichincha Volcano. From here, there are wonderful views of the Andes and a safe sense of adventure. From Quito, it's a 90-minute direct flight to the islands and your immersion in this strange wildlife world. The Galapagos have never been connected to any continental landmass, meaning the wildlife has always evolved distinctly from the rest of the planet. The colors, the charm, the inquisitive stare of a creature you get close to... it makes for a wonderful experience for children of all ages, not to mention a bucket list destination for the whole family. Furthermore, the Galapagos is malaria free, and no additional vaccinations are required for travel here.

Wonderful trip!! We flew into Quito spent 2 nights then we flew to San Cristoble and went on board the boat we chartered for 5 days. For 5 days we explored many of the Galapagos islands. We then arrived on Santa Cruz Island and spent 3 nights there. We flew back to Quito for 2 days and from there we returned home. Our trip planner was absolutely great, she kept me informed of any changes, called to check on us during our trip and made the whole process a breeze! The hotels she booked were perfect. Our guides were very knowledgeable and engaging, they were very sweet and accommodating, went out of their way to make sure we were happy and comfortable. Our excursions were the best! I can not say one bad thing or I would not change any of it, it was a perfect trip!

We just returned from a trip to Peru and the Galapagos Islands. We visited Lima, the Amazon, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, and Cusco, with an overnight stay in Quito.
The Zicasso-recommended travel agency created the perfect itinerary for us. All of the transitioning from place to place was seamless, the hotels were beautiful, the recommendations for restaurants were great, and the guides we had were amazing. They were so enthusiastic and willing to share their knowledge about past and current history. We were so impressed with our travel agency that we are already considering our next journey with them.

We had a very nice trip to Quito, Ecuador, and the Galapagos Islands. The people in Quito were very friendly and we felt very safe. We were initially concerned based on what we saw in the media, but Zicasso's travel agency checked with the hotel and guides, and said all was fine. We are glad we listened and went on the trip.
Our guide was excellent and we spent four days touring around Quito, Cotopaxi, the cloud forest, and Otavalo Market. Then we flew to Galapagos and went on a four-night cruise. It was an amazing experience seeing sea turtles, sea lions, penguins, sharks, and giant tortoises. The landscapes were beautiful and we got some great pictures on our nature walks. The crew and guide in the Galapagos were top-notch. The meals on the boat were fabulous as well. Make sure you are physically able to do long walks, sometimes on rough terrain, and go snorkeling, as they kept us busy multiple times per day. We highly recommend visiting Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands.

We traveled to Ecuador last month, with a week in the Galapagos, 5 days in the Amazon, and several days in Quito. Arrangements for travel were made through this travel agent who is located in Quito. Every phase of the trip was perfect, from his help before on arrangements and planning, choosing an Amazon lodge, day guides in Quito and Santa Cruz Island, recommendations for hotels, and transfers that were always there at the proper time at the hotels, airports and docks. Our travel agent always responded promptly to emailed questions and issues. He met personally with us when we arrived in Quito and went over our itinerary, and was always available by email or phone, although we really didn't have any problems to deal with. We travel a lot and have worked with many other agencies to plan trips. This travel company is now highest on our list and we would highly recommend their services for any travelers in Ecuador and South America.
