My husband and I were thrilled with our recent trip to Italy that Zicasso’s travel designer put together. We began by attending a family friend’s wedding, held in Ravello, on the Amalfi Coast. Due to my husband’s mobility issues, we were met by a driver and headed to the Amalfi Coast. The driver was first class and the trip was very comfortable.
After the wedding festivities, we were able to have the most wonderful experiences visiting the towns of Amalfi and Positano, and our base for one week was in beautiful Sorrento. We attended a cooking class and enjoyed eating what we prepared. We had in-depth learning opportunities in Naples and Sorrento. Every guide we had spoke excellent English and was so knowledgeable. We especially enjoyed Pompeii! A super-fun day was had on the small group tour of Capri. The crew was fantastic and very accommodating in consideration of my husband’s mobility issues.
From beginning to end everything went well. The use of a messaging app was great for making sure everyone was on the same page.
The only thing that was a disappointment was the pizza in Naples. It wasn’t the best.
The hotel in Sorrento was phenomenal - it couldn’t have been better. The view of Mt. Vesuvius from our balcony helped create memories we will have forever. The hotel in Rome was also very nice. It was right in the middle of the main attractions.
We are very happy with our experience with this travel company and would not hesitate to recommend it!

We would not use Zicasso’s tour operator again for a Custom Trip. When they built this trip, the self-drive plan was poorly laid out. It did not seem to take us to the main attractions of either island. We've used other travel companies for designing custom tours in other countries. Both of them laid out interesting packages for us with little research on our part. The tour operator did put a package together but we seemed to end up in not the most interesting locations and no input as to things to see along the way in the pre-planning. Their Help Desk was excellent, very responsive and helpful via their messaging service and they tried every day to give us things to do and to see along our travels because we asked. We had two booked tours cancelled the day before, and sometimes information was minimal, such as finding the sailboat for our full-day tour in a marina of hundreds of sailboats. The Harbor Master finally was able to help us. Private drivers in Rome were always on time. The tour operator did not take into account that after 2 days of overseas travel with minimal sleep and a 6-hour time change, that we might want to sleep our first night. They wanted us to get up at 11 PM (2300) body time, to catch an early morning flight to Olbia, then get a car and start driving after 2 nights of little sleep just to catch a ferry in the evening to Corsica. Didn't seem to understand the time change and our complaint cost us a substantial amount to alter the plan such that we could get some rest! We are used to custom tours and this was a haphazard tour with travel and times we didn't comprehend for good sense. Overall, we enjoyed the two islands and made the best of it, but without our travel experience, independence and persistence, it would have been a difficult custom tour to follow.
