The Majestic Maasai Mara
Your Kenyan adventure begins on the vast plains of the Maasai Mara. Grass stretches beyond the horizon, the landscape dotted with large herds of zebra and wildebeest. Thompson's gazelle join the animal party, tentatively grazing on the vivid lands of the Mara. During the summer months over two million mammals migrate to the Mara, humongous herds thundering north from the neighboring Serengeti. This influx is only an addition to the permanent residents. At all times of the year, the Maasai Mara holds one of the greatest concentrations of wild game on the planet. The grass disappears under a moving trail of four hooves and swirling dust, an evocative scene that marks your first day on safari.
From Nairobi you'll be driven to the Maasai Mara. Enjoy a long afternoon game drive before spending the night at either Oloshaiki Camp or Fig Tree. Both options offer a personal experience and superb accommodation that's surrounded by nature. And what nature! Out on the plains a cheetah carefully stalks its prey, camouflaging itself before accelerating towards the impala with unrivaled speed. A lion pride approaches the safari truck. Mouths fall silent and jaws drop open. Everybody instinctively makes a small move away from the window. But the lions aren't hunting for food, they've come to lounge in the shade created by the truck. Leopards are often the most elusive of the big cats, but their abundance means that most people get more than just a glimpse. These predators might look cuddly or cute in photos, but there is something solemn and absolute about their meticulous movements through the grass.

Detailed Description
This six-night luxury Kenya safari starts in Nairobi, visiting five very diverse national parks before finishing in Mombasa. It's an action packed tour of Kenya's great wildlife reserves, full of memorable moments and spectacular scenes. It's easy to then combine this safari experience with a few days relaxing on the Indian Ocean beaches of Mombasa. Every park and every day will be different. Explore the great grass plains of the Maasai Mara and the evocative swamps of Amboseli National Park. Visit the pink fringed Lake Nakuru, then discover natural springs filled with hippos in Tsavo West. Take a thrilling journey through the immense savannahs of Tsavo East, and spend relaxed evenings watching the wildlife roam past your private verandah. Over six days you'll enjoy a real feast for the senses, and a complete immersion in Kenya's spectacular landscapes.
Two days in the Maasai Mara provide an unforgettable start to this itinerary. Masses of four hooves cover the great plains, great herds of zebra and wildebeest often leaving swirls of dust in their wake. You're admiring them, and so are the big cats. There is probably nowhere better on the planet to see lion prides, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, and other cats. You've also got a good chance of spotting them out on a hunt. Lake Nakuru also teems with these predators. But two very different creatures will grab your attention. Over a million flamingo turn the lakeshore a dramatic pink. On the other end of numbers scale, fewer than 3,000 critically endangered black rhinos exist in the wild. They proudly roam through this national reserve, joined by their southern cousin, the white rhino. Enjoy a day in this national reserve, widely regarded as one of Africa's most beautiful.
The snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro dominates the landscape in Amboseli. Wandering beneath Africa's highest mountain are massive herds of elephants. This fairytale scene is what Amboseli is famous for, but its swamps also provide an assorted cast of Africa's unique mammals. You'll be getting breathtakingly close to elephants in Amboseli on day four. During the next day in Tsavo West, it will be hippos that dominate the agenda. The Big Five abundantly fill this park, although it is the hippo and crocodile infested Mzima Springs that often provide the park's most enduring moments.
A dramatic day in Tsavo East National Park completes the itinerary. This vast savannah is home to pretty much everything, and who knows what's going to appear when you turn a corner or look behind a tree. Defining a typical game drive isn't possible in Kenya. The diverse habitats and landscapes are home to vastly different wildlife. Furthermore, these untouched wildernesses provide a very personalized experience. But by combining five different parks, this tailor made safari adventure will showcase everything that makes Kenya such a great destination.

February 2021, I submitted a request through Zicasso to plan a group trip to Kenya,Tanzania and Zanzibar for June 2022. I was matched with Maurice. This travel company has surpassed our expectations and provided an amazing experience we will never forget. The camps were top rated, and we had a fantastic time there. In fact, all the accommodations we stayed at were phenomenal. They were beautiful, clean, each room had an amazing view, the staff were very attentive, and the food was top notch. Maurice even planned a few surprises for our group along the way.
Maurice booked all of our in-country transfers (both by car and plane). All we had to do was show up at the lobby of each accommodation at the time specified and everything else was taken care of. Our drivers were exceptional as well. We spent time in Amboseli National Park, Maasai Mara, the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and ended on the beach of Zanzibar. Our drivers at Amboseli had many years’ experience, they were very knowledgeable about all of the animals. Within 5 minutes landing at the air strip, they took us straight to see many of the animals, especially a family of cheetahs eating their prey! Our drivers at the Maasai Mara were great as well. We told him we wanted to see a lots of lions and they didn’t disappoint. On our morning game drive, we saw lions feasting on a buffalo, we also saw a leopard with a vulture in a tree. Our drivers in the Serengeti & Ngorongoro were excellent as well, they took us to all the best locations to capture the animals. We were even able to catch a glimpse of a rhino in the distance. They did their best to ensure we were able to see the big 5 and the ugly 5. We then ended the trip visiting Zanzibar’s beaches, a spice tour & Stone Town.
I highly recommend using Maurice and this travel company for travel tours, safaris and vacations in the future and look forward to working with him again! Asante sana!

The trip was wonderful! We saw amazing things and our guide was very experienced. He often got us to see animals before other guides arrived. Further, our agent was extremely accommodating and patient to the demands of others on our tour. Our travel agency was good at keeping in touch and providing information needed for the trip. The hotels at Amboseli and Masai Mara were very nice!

You could not have planned the trip better. It was fantastic! Our safari driver from Rangers was great - again could not of been better. He pushed every day for us to see everything possible. Hes fun and incredibly knowledgeable and has a great command of the English language. You were right to schedule one day in Nairobi - so glad we did not change it to two days. We saw the last of the Big 5 - the black rhino in Kenya. We loved all of our accommodations and the people are so friendly, polite and helpful. We saw the Great Migration in Tanzania. We would not of changed one thing. People from other tour agencies were dissapointed that when they arrived in Kenya when we did as all of the Wildebeest had already migrated to Tanzania. What you scheduled for us was perfect. I do think that Tanzania is not well known but Kenya is to the average American like us. If it wasn't for you we would of never known about Tanzania. Tanzania has it all - except the black rhino at the Govenor's Camp- no need to even go to Kenya but I did want to go the the Elephant and Giraffe orphanages. We loved Capetown, the shark cage trip and the tour operator was wonderful. The 1/2 day Capetown trip was great. We went on the historic Capetown walking tour at 11:00 after we checked out. We added the Olduvai museum at the crater to our trip. We had a wonderful time and saw so much in 17 days including traveling from the East Coast; Arusha, Tarangire National park, Ngorongoro crater, Central Serengeti - Turner Springs, Norther Serengeti - Kokatonde, Masai - Mara, Nairobi, Victoria Falls and Capetown. A trip of a lifetime.
