Detailed Description
Entice your partner, grab your best friend or gather your family together, as you embark upon this outstanding Australian adventure that hits all the right spots. For 11 awe-inspiring days you will independently traverse this amazing continent, witnessing World Heritage beauty at its most spectacular, from the wild wilderness of Tasmania, to the balmy reaches of Tropical North Queensland and the Great Barrier Reef.
Beginning in the wild and rugged island state of Tasmania, almost half of which is designated World Heritage Wilderness, you will explore the sparkling glacial lakes of sub-alpine Cradle Mountain and Lake St. Clair National Park. You will encounter remarkable wildlife, and have the opportunity to climb the towering peaks of Bishop and Clerk on Maria Island or cruise through Mason Cove en route to Port Arthur, tracing the remarkable footsteps of the convicts who from the early 1800s, somehow survived in this wild penal settlement, then known as ‘Van Diemen’s Land’.
Step out of the wilderness for your visit to glamorous, sparkling Sydney, where you will breathe in the fresh, salt air on a luxury yacht cruise around Sydney Harbour, and experience a thrilling day in the spectacular Blue Mountains National Park. Stepping back into the wilderness – luxury style – you will travel to Tropical North Queensland, home to the 135 million year old Daintree Rainforest, complete with primitive flowering plants, prehistoric six foot birds, and ancient foliage that creeps all the way down to the white sand beaches and the reef beyond. In this otherwise silent landscape, the bird calls will form the soundtrack to your journey as you cruise past giant crocodiles basking on the riverbank. End your amazing Australian adventure sailing in the turquoise waters of the unparalleled Great Barrier Reef, and snorkeling amongst the vibrant coral cays. Without a doubt, this is the Australia tour you’ll want to write home about. If you’re not convinced, visit the Australia travel reviews section and see what others have experienced.

Excellent experience the entire way. Booked this trip almost 2 years in advance. Our travel agent was outstanding through the whole process. Explained everything and let us decide and hesitate and change, never felt pressured.
Loved every aspect of the trip. Went to four different places each unique in it's own way.
Best vacation/holiday we have ever taken, will never forget it.

We had a wonderful holiday in Australia. My requirements were a) Uluru b) Dive in Great Barrier Reef (GBR) c) See koalas in the wild and d) the Daintree Forest.
Our travel agent helped us with finding the fantastic accommodation for us in Daintree and GBR and arranging all the land transport. It was unfortunate that we went to Australia in June when Southern Ocean Lodge in Kangaroo Island (KI) was closed for renovations but I found alternative accommodation in KI and our agent organised and wonderful local tour for us and also helped us find great food for dinner. The touring company Exceptional KI that she introduced was extremely professional too and the guide went beyond the call of duty to help us find a drone that went missing and even couriered it to us at our last stop in Lizard Island. (Choosing a resort in GBR was tough as there are so many good ones to choose from but I really do feel Lizard is the best! )
Very grateful to our travel agent for accommodating too our very many last minute changes when my sister and her family decided to join us for part of the trip. And I added in an extra stop to see my cousin in Adelaide. I was a bit apprehensive about so many last minute changes but she took it all in her stride and executed it flawlessly. Also loved the beautiful book they did for us of the places we visited.
Thank you to our agent and her company for the wonderful holiday.

Our trip to Australia was a trip of a lifetime and it exceeded all our expectation thanks to our travel agent from the Australia tour company. Our agent worked with us tirelessly for months to customize a package to fit our needs and our budget. Our trip consisted of 10 airline flights, 8 shuttle transfers, 7 hotels and 10 tours. Every connection went like clockwork and problem free. Each tour was well managed and professionally done. Every hotel was clean and comfortable with 100% satisfaction from us. We were particularly happy with Tasmania in general and the Hotel Grand Chancellor Hobart.
Our 4 days in Sydney over New Years was fabulous and we loved the city. The Hunter Valley Wine tour was great and we were sorry to miss the Blue Mountain tour but it did not fit. Ayers Rock was enjoyable and we were glad to make it a brief stopover. Cairns was a beautiful location and we enjoyed our 3 days there doing Karanda and the Reef. As mentioned Tasmania was super special. We loved the Bruny Island cruise and the city of Hobart. We drove our rental car to Swansea with stops at the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary (highly recommended) and historic Richmond. After a visit to Freycinet National Park which was lovely, we drove to Launceston.
Our 3 days in Melbourne after our Princess cruise was also very special. We enjoyed the city and the Travelodge Southbank hotel. It had the perfect location next to the Eureka Tower, the riverwalk and the free tram for the city. We flew home on Australia Day which was a little disappointing but no one considered that before the trip..

Our agent did a terrific job of suggesting places to go and things to see. With her planning, we were able to forget about the logistic hassles and were met at each airport by our limo (usually a Mercedes and one Rolls Royce!)..
Our accommodations were top notch (except for Kangaroo Island where there weren't as many choices). I especially liked reclining on our bed in Sydney and looking out at the harbor traffic under the bridge. Also, the apartment in Port Douglas was timed just right so we could have a free afternoon to relax and do laundry. And the service at our Hobart hotel was outstanding.
The small tour groups - from just us in the Daintree & Melbourne to just four and a guide in Kangaroo Island - were terrific. Larger groups weren't bad, though our van driver in Sydney kept stalling the vehicle.
