Detailed Description
Lost in the ocean, some 1000 km from the mainland, the Galapagos Islands offer an indelible getaway into another world. You're surrounded by the enormity of the Pacific, reveling in the escapism of the infinite blue. Yet you're also intimately immersed in the archipelago's wildlife bounty, savoring the unique and wonderful species that have inspired our understanding of natural evolution. Gaze out one way and the next land mass would be Antarctica. Then turn around and a colony of sea lions frolic on a white beach, or a Galapagos penguin is waddling along secluded cliffs. With a small boat Galapagos tour, you get the gargantuan scale and exclusivity afforded by the ocean, plus a near-private invitation into nature's surreal world. 15 days of cruising ensures you see every secluded corner of the islands and discover each of its iconic species.
Formerly a private yacht, yours will be the archipelago's most spacious luxury boat. The 48.5-meter vessel has the capacity for only 12 passengers, and you have a VIP suite that comes with his and her bathrooms plus a private lounge. Lounge on the sundeck, rest in the hot tub, relax in the huge inside living area, and eat beneath the stars in the exterior dining area. The 11 crew members provide intimate and excellent service while a local naturalist guide reveals the narratives behind the strange wildlife. As you cruise through the Galapagos, there's rarely another boat in sight, and your group has exclusive access to each of the wildlife sites. On a typical day, you make morning and afternoon excursions to different national park sites. These adventures could include walking along seabird nesting grounds, lounging on secluded beaches, snorkeling adventures, hiking trails, dinghy rides, or a combination of the above.
Having over two weeks ensures you can completely unwind and escape into the Galapagos realm. It's also the minimum amount of time to really discover the complete endemic bounty of the islands. Marvel at waved albatross on eastern Espanola, see all the booby species together on San Cristobal, watch penguins and flightless cormorants on Fernandina, and find sea lion-filled beaches of red, white, and black sand. Giant tortoises and land iguanas are endemic to their island, meaning you're often encountering a species that only exists on the rugged cliffs you're standing on. Then beneath the surface, there's a world of pelagic greats, from manta rays to sea turtles and three different shark species. Of course, you don't need the excursions to spot the wildlife. Relax on the sundeck of this small yacht and there are regular sightings of dolphins and migratory whales. The ingredients for an escapist cruise usually involve secluded beaches, enchanting coastline, a luxury yacht, and open water. In the Galapagos, all this is elevated by phenomenal wildlife.

The trip was amazing and exceeded our expectations! We loved everything about it. Working with Zicasso's travel specialists was so great. The team was so fast responding on everything and so helpful during the planning stage, preparation stage, and even while we were in Ecuador. We could not have asked for a better partner!

Zicasso's trip planner is excellent! She planned a personalized itinerary for me and my family, with activities for all different ages in our travel group. We truly enjoyed our experience in Quito and the Galápagos Islands.
Our tour guide did a wonderful job taking us around Quito and ensuring we got to fully experience the city (including historical landmarks and local spots). In addition, one of our family members had altitude sickness and he put a lot of effort into helping her get assistance and even medical care in the airport.
Five stars for our agent and our guide.

Our trip was beyond awesome. We made memories for a lifetime in Peru and the Galápagos Islands. Standing on the equator in Quito and the different experiments on the equator were a hit with kids and adults alike. There was excellent planning and execution by our Zicasso travel specialists. All the guides and excursions were great and we made good friends with them. They went above and beyond to recover our (lost/forgotten) items in a hotel and plane. Two thumbs up.

The plan by Zicasso's trip planner and the help he provided during our trip were invaluable. Unfortunately, my sister and I overestimated our abilities and underestimated our physical stamina. As he suggested, five days in the Galápagos would have been plenty. The Amazon trip was quite arduous for us, but the guide was fantastic. The Machu Picchu guide was fantastic. All our guides enjoy their work. More attention could have been paid to the altitude. My sister was sick most of the trip. We should have paid more attention to that before the trip.
