Nairobi - Drive to the Base of Mount Kenya
This morning you will touch down in the bustling city of Nairobi, only to be whisked away to the lush slopes of Mount Kenya. Having met a tour representative in the arrivals hall of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will begin a winding drive north through the coffee plantations of central Kenya. After approximately three hours, you will arrive at your hotel located almost directly on the equator. With extensive views of the snow-capped mountain from your private cottage on this sprawling colonial hunting camp, you will be swept away into a bygone era of glamor and luxury.
This afternoon, you will have the opportunity to explore the property and participate in one of their numerous activities. This converted hunting camp has a stunning nine-hole manicured golf course that is built to international standards. For those itching for a taste of the bush, it may be of interest to visit the neighboring Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy’s orphanage for the endangered antelope, the bongo. Alternatively, you may want to stretch your legs on either the guided Forest Reserve Walking/Horseback Safari or a guided bird walk. It is also possible to take a one and a half hour walk to Lake Alice, where there is superb fishing amidst the groundsel and heather forests. Of course, for those looking for adventure and excitement, there will be no better activity than jumping on a mountain bike and riding the slopes of Mount Kenya with an expert guide!
As the afternoon winds to a close, migrate towards a relaxed and glamorous lounge where waiters literally cross from the northern to the southern hemisphere to serve you. Enjoy a cocktail or a glass of wine here as you watch the sun set behind Mount Kenya, and then move to the elegant restaurant for a sensational meal. Whether you choose to sit out on the terrace under the starry night sky, or snuggle in beside the grandiose fireplace, this signature four-course meal will be one to remember.

The trip was great. We got to see everything we wanted to see, including the big five and the migration of large herds of wildebeests and zebras.
The travel company was extremely helpful. The pre-trip prep was very thorough, but the true test came when I lost my cell phone in Mara towards the end and then our return flight was unexpectedly canceled. So I was stranded in Nairobi with my 12-year-old, having almost no means of communication with the rest of the world, and the rebooked flight was not until five days later.
The travel agency worked with local providers and put together a three-day side trip for us to go to Lake Nakuru to see rhinos, rebooked our local transportation, and made sure a local agent would be at the airport to help us when we departed — and they made all the arrangements within a day. They helped make a really stressful situation a lot easier to deal with.

Maurice did a great job organizing our trip. Our itinerary was thoughtfully planned and the communication to prepare for our trip was superb. We landed in Nairobi and spent one night there before heading to the national parks. Our hotel room was specially decorated for our honeymoon, which we appreciated.
Our first safari was at Maasai Mara. The game drives were spectacular and our guides were very knowledgeable. We highly recommend the balloon safari; it was our most memorable experience. The camp was very nice and the staff extremely friendly. However, we were told the camp was equipped with WiFi, but upon arrival, we learned there was no WiFi there. We ended up paying for an international data plan for three days.
Our next stop was the Serengeti. The driver we were supposed to meet didn't show due to car trouble. Instead, another driver met us, but he was late and not familiar with our itinerary. We got lost while driving to our campground and it took us three hours to locate it. We were too tired to go on the half-day game drive.
The next day, we had a full-day game drive and saw many animals, making the safari unforgettable. However, our car broke down on our way back to camp and we had to take a detour to a checkpoint to get it fixed. We highly recommend the Serengeti Camp. It was our best lodging experience and the staff were unbeatable.
Our last safari was at Ngorongoro Crater, which was another unforgettable experience. Although we wished we could have spent more than a couple of hours there. Zanzibar was a great way to end our trip and our hotel was a perfect spot for relaxation before heading home.
There were a couple of mishaps during our trip, some of which were uncontrollable and not a result of planning, but overall, we are very happy with the experience. Thanks to Maurice and our travel company for everything!

We used this travel agency for our honeymoon. We spent 2 nights in Nairobi, 2 nights at Lake Naivasha and the surrounding area, 3 nights in the Masai Marai and then 5 nights in Zanzibar relaxing. The experience working with the company was great-- our agent always responses to my emails promptly and adjusted our holiday as we needed it.
The hotels she chose for us were excellent and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! We were able to see the big 5, thanks to the fantastic drivers and trackers. We enjoyed our downtime in Zanzibar at a beautiful resort as well. Our transfers were well arranged and all spoke excellent English and were very knowledgable. Since it was our honeymoon, we wanted to make sure that we were still enjoying our time in Africa in nice hotels/lodges/camps, and our agent picked us some wonderful ones with amazing staff! I would highly recommend using this company when planning your trip.

You could not have planned the trip better. It was fantastic! Our safari driver from Rangers was great - again could not of been better. He pushed every day for us to see everything possible. Hes fun and incredibly knowledgeable and has a great command of the English language. You were right to schedule one day in Nairobi - so glad we did not change it to two days. We saw the last of the Big 5 - the black rhino in Kenya. We loved all of our accommodations and the people are so friendly, polite and helpful. We saw the Great Migration in Tanzania. We would not of changed one thing. People from other tour agencies were dissapointed that when they arrived in Kenya when we did as all of the Wildebeest had already migrated to Tanzania. What you scheduled for us was perfect. I do think that Tanzania is not well known but Kenya is to the average American like us. If it wasn't for you we would of never known about Tanzania. Tanzania has it all - except the black rhino at the Govenor's Camp- no need to even go to Kenya but I did want to go the the Elephant and Giraffe orphanages. We loved Capetown, the shark cage trip and the tour operator was wonderful. The 1/2 day Capetown trip was great. We went on the historic Capetown walking tour at 11:00 after we checked out. We added the Olduvai museum at the crater to our trip. We had a wonderful time and saw so much in 17 days including traveling from the East Coast; Arusha, Tarangire National park, Ngorongoro crater, Central Serengeti - Turner Springs, Norther Serengeti - Kokatonde, Masai - Mara, Nairobi, Victoria Falls and Capetown. A trip of a lifetime.

Our couple's trip to Kenya, Tanzania, and Zanzibar was truly amazing and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We went to Nairobi, Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, Maasai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Zanzibar over two weeks.
Zicasso’s travel agency made it an easy and seamless experience. They communicated well, took care of us before we landed, and provided guidance on everything we needed, including what to pack.
After we landed, they met us at the airport, provided all transfers, and had their experienced drivers transport us around the country and take us on game drives. We loved our time with our guides in Kenya and Tanzania.
We were also able to visit a Maasai village and learn about their culture. It was wonderful to talk over campfires and learn about their experiences.
The service at every camp and hotel was exceptional, and whenever we had a question or issue, our agent was quickly available to triage.
We would, without hesitation, highly recommend a trip like this! Do it!
Our agent gave us the most magical trip and was able to keep it within our budget.
