Maldives Travel Guide

This was our  fourth trip with Zicasso. We have been blessed to have the travel agent for our Australia/New Zealand trip in 2013 as it turned out to be amazing and unforgettable. She handled all the flights from one place to another and the trip ran perfectly smooth. She communicated with me multiple times to make sure that she covered everything and then sent me a detailed itinerary with colored pictures. I had to ask for one with this trip. I started by saying these because our latest trip pales by comparison to our first trip with Zicasso. Here I had to take care of all the flights. And then there was this couple who wanted to join us on our trip and one of them dropped out, I had no idea that there was just a slight difference in the price if she took her own room. So she roomed with us the entire trip which included Valentines day. There was no dinner included but the one in the Newton Center while in Singapore and in the morning we were supposed to be met by our guide going to Sentosa, he did not show up. An alternate guide came an hour later who had the nerve to carry on an attitude. I also wished that our guide shared the same enthusiasm as I had doing the “Crazy Rich Asian”tour. Some of the places she just pointed to and one of the places I had to ask to be brought there. Although I appreciated the stay at our hotel in Singapore ( I asked for it) and the hotel in the Maldives. They were amazing places.

This trip was for my wife and my 50th wedding anniversary and I wanted it to be special. Our week at Hurawalhi was everything I was hoping it to be and more. Words can not adequately describe how wonderful it was. The accommodations, the food and the service were all 5 star!The travel agency was excellent. I explained what I was looking for and they nailed it. They communicated timely and clearly. They provided helpful information about Maldives immigration requirements. They arranged for representatives to meet us on arrival in Male to assist with getting to the seaplane terminal and on departure as well to assist in getting us checked in and through security and immigration. As previously stated the agency was excellent and we would certainly use them again for travel to India or back to the Maldives.

Our trip planner and this travel team provided my wife and I with one of the most exotic and enjoyable travel experiences of our life. India, Nepal and the Maldives was simply fantastic. Our planner, avoided for us two situations that could have made things really interesting. First, he made sure we had no airline tix on a local airways which went bankrupt just before we arrived and was able to cancel and arrange an alternative travel experience after the terrorist attack in Sri Lanka. We still wanted to go to Sri Lanka, but US gov't made it impossible to achieve.At every turn in our 53 day journey, our trip planner and his staff was there to make sure all accommodations, guides, drivers and events went as smoothly as could be possible. Nothing but the highest regards for this agency and its people.

The travel planner and the group at this travel company helped us with our trip to Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and The Maldives. They really listened to what we wanted out of the trip and found places that met our goals. Our travel planner and/or another planner were always available by email or phone. They always answered our questions quickly and thoroughly. We were especially grateful for their expertise and help, when two weeks before the trip a local airlines canceled one of our flights without notice. This meant we had to make some major changes to the end of the trip very quickly. Our planner worked with us throughout this whole process and put our minds at ease and provided some great alternatives.As for the trip itself, it exceeded all of our expectations. We have such a love and appreciation for this part of Africa. From the incredible wildlife, to Victoria Falls, and the starry night skies, it was indescribable.
