Review: Italy Family Vacation, Milan, Rome, Florence, Venice, Parma, Modena, San Gimignano, Lake Como, Dolomites Snowmobiling

Thanks for helping me organize my family (of 10 with diverse age from 15 to 63) trip to Italy, from Dec 17 to Dec 31. Whilst different member of my family have different expectation and requirement, I would like to comment you and your team on having planned an excellent trip that not only met each and everyone's interest and expectation but truly exceeded it.

Your planning have brought us to the lovely cities of Parma, Modena, Florence, Orvieto, Civita Di Bagnoregio, Naples, Rome, Venice, Cortina d'Amprezzo and back to our starting point Milan. Throughout the trip, we have a well balance itinerary that covered

- beautiful churches such as the Duomo in Milan, Rome, Florence,

- archeological site like Pompeii, Colosseum, Roman Forum, Pantheon, Pisa, Verona (learning more about romeo and Juliet)

- great local eating places (recommended by the guides you chose)

- lovely country side and unique sight in San Gimignano, Civita Di Bagnoregio, Orvieto, Lake Como,

- great gallery likes Uffizi, Academia

- Interesting activity such as Snow Mobile excursion in Cortina, Learning Cooking

- Shopping activities

With so much, yet your team immaculate planning never have us rushing from sight to sight, we were both able to enjoy and learn as much as we can of each sight and at times added more activities.

The team of guides you chose, have truly turn stone and history into exciting stories that the provided the group deeper understanding of the sights we visited and saw. Really like to thank each on of them like our guides in Florence, Pisa, San Gimignano, Orvieto and Civita Di Bagnoregio, Naples and Pompeii, Rome, Verona, Venice and Milan.

But most importantly, thank you for getting our driver, he truly ensure our comfort whilst driving steadily through jams on our way to Naple and snow storm on our way to Cortina d Amprezzo and also took very good care of us ensuring we know what to do where we have no guides and leaving us clear instruction when we needed help. He is truly a wonder.

I will definitely tell my friends heading to Italy about this company.... A wonderfully great experience.

Travel Review: Luxury Tour of Northern Italy, Turin, Bellagio, Bergamo

We were very happy with our travel agent, and her choices for a driver and hotels for our recent trip to Northern Italy. Her advice and planning made all the difference to us. Guaranteed, we would not have found the hotel that she recommended in Bergamo on our own - it was the perfect location. We were never more than a 3 minute walk away from it. Our hotel in Turin was also ideally located for our needs. And in Bellagio, she made sure that we had a lake view. We loved our trip, and I have already recommended her company to several family members who are traveling to Italy in May for a wedding.

Italy Travel Review: Torino, Bologna, Modena, Ferrari Museum, Parma & Cheese Farms Visits, 10-Day Tour
The service by this travel company was wonderful, and the hotel they chose for us in Torino was extraordinary. The tours they arranged for us with guides who spoke English were impressive - we learned a lot! However, when we were sent out with a driver who didn’t speak English, and with no guide, it was difficult to know what we were looking at. As for the museum in Barolo, it might be perfect for families with children, but it appeared as if it was an elementary school project put together by students. Lots of walking up and down stairs … our group was not impressed. The tour of a cheese factory. Was educational and tasty. Then we were driven to Asti where everything was closed (except a gelato store) and our driver didn’t speak English, so we just went back to our hotel.Off to Bologna, our hotel’s designer probably spent his entire budget on the ground floor - contemporary and airy - but the rooms! No shelving, no closet, no dresser, the bathroom had no storage, one chair, one luggage rack, minimal lighting with fixtures probably from Ikea. Perfect for backpacking college kids.  The Trip to Ferrari Museum and driving the Ferrari was excellent! The experience at the Michelin star restaurant was special for me - but the others in our group just aren’t foodies. Back in Bologna our guide was excellent, knowledgeable, and listened to what we were interested in and opened our eyes to new experiences. Then another guide took us to the Parma factory to learn about ham and the balsamic vinegar “factory” were so detailed and interesting! Brava! However, we weren’t aware that we weren’t also going to the cities of Parma and Modena. Next time.

Italy Review, Florence, Gelato Making, Truffle Hunting, Cooking Class, Mother & Daughter Trip

The travel company was OK. The drivers were always there. The hotels were nice and in good locations, generally. We had guides in three cities. One of the guides was really terrific. The other two were knowledgable but didn't talk to my daughter (14 years old) with whom I was traveling and one of them was very difficult to understand because of her strong accent so we learn much those two days. We had agreed on some things we wanted to do in two of the cities and the travel company said they would include them in the tours but didn't. We had a few food-focused activities set up. Gelato making was excellent. A day in the market and cooking was just OK - the facilities were really nice but the food actually wasn't particularly good. The one bad activity was truffle hunting which didn't correspond at all to what the itinerary said it was and it was really just wine tasting which wasn't an ideal day for a 14 year old. In any event, I would not work with this company again. I would have been better off just using tripadvisor and booking the trip on my own.

Italy & Switzerland Vacation Review: Milan, Varenna, Monforte d'Alba, Sondrio, Cheese & Wine Making, Michelin Star Dining
WOW!  This vacation far exceeded our expectations.  The travel company took our starting point, a half marathon race in the Italian Alps, and created a memorable experience.  This occurred at several levels.  First, the accommodations were all top notch.  In Milan, they had wonderful English speaking front desk staff who even found a camera charger with outlet adapter left behind.  The Milan location allowed easy walking to major attractions, dining, and shopping.  In Varenna we had a lake view room with a  balcony overlooking Lake Como, and again, attentive English speaking staff and convenient to local shopping, dining, and the ferry to Bellagio.  The same occurred in Sondrio and Monforte as well.  All guides spoke adequate to fluent English, and we enjoyed the large variety of activities, from hiking to visiting operations for cheese and wine making to dining at Michelin star restaurants. All reservations were as expected.  The drivers were all professional, courteous, and spoke some English. With regard to service during the trip, this travel company again excelled.  At a couple of times on the trip I had concerns about something upcoming (I am a control freak with a small Italian vocabulary).  The travel designer at this company had welcomed us to contact her by the an App if we had any questions or issues during the trip.  On all three occasions she responded to my text message inquires via the App, made phone calls on our behalf, and assured everything went seamlessly.  Having someone with a strong language fluency and familiarity with the region made us feel very secure.
